“Are they kidding? A Horrible Place”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2011 via mobile

If you stay in this filthy, smelly, moldy hotel you will be shocked that anyone could run a hotel this poorly. Rooms are beyond dirty with stained carpets and bedding, mold is found throughout the hotel.
Police are regular visitors due in part to clientele and persistent robberies of guests property. Hotel management and staff are rude, nasty and incompetent. The manager curses at guests who dare complain and invokes anti-American diatribe in response.
Add in the bagels with mold spots, and the mice and this hotel belongs in a John Carpenter movie not in the itinerary of anyone visiting beautiful Lancaster County.
Do yourself a major favor. Drive by.

“Worst Experience of any Hotel EVER!!”

We stayed here on Oct 8th 2011. Supposed to be nonsmoking but you can smell stale smoke in the nonsmoking section of the hallways. We got into our room and the first thing we saw was the toilet was never cleaned, really disgusting-rest of bathroom clean but they totally ignored the toilet. Tried calling the front desk several times, no answer, so we ended up cleaning it ourselfs so we could use it. Light fixture/heat lamp/fan in celiing was missing and exposed wires hanging out. Pillows were paper thin, no stuffing at all in them. Later as we were going out for the evening I asked the young girl at the front desk how to get to downtown Lancaster, and she didn't even know which direction to turn out of the parking lot!! Thank goodness we had our GPS!! Hotel was very noisey at night, you could here what's going on next door and across the hall. All we could hear most of the night was some foreigner yelling at his young kids across the hall. Will never go back, manager/owner of Indian/Pakistani descent and not very pleasant. He seemed a little perturbed that I got a discount on the room which I think for what we had was still way overpriced!!

Room Tip: find a better hotel

“Go somewhere else if you can afford it!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2011

We stayed this past weekend, and was given a room with a non-working phone and non-working tv. The manager insisted he come in and try and fix it, and told me to just keep pushing the cable tv cord into the wall from time to time. I finally got him to agree to give us another room - and the new one did have a working tv and phone. Generally the room was clean, but hasn't been updated in at least 15+ years. While the bathroom was tidy- linoleum was peeling up and there appeared to be cigarette burns in the floor. Also, there is little to no lighting in the parking lot if you are coming in later at night. All in all- I really wish we would have paid more for a nicer hotel- definitely will not chose to return. One positive note was that the hotel was very quiet....

“Less expensive than other hotels but absolutely awful - pay the extra $10!”

Go somewhere else! It was awful. We got two rooms next door to each other for our families. Neither door card worked properly and the guy at the front desk insisted we were using our key cards wrong but we could just leave the door's deadbolt locked to prop the doors open if we were leaving?!! Then he said he'd be at the front desk so he could open them for us. We came back from dinner and even he couldn't even get us in - they had to break into the room with a big metal rod! The one room was so moldy that I had an asthma attack (I brought the odor to his attention and he told me no one had ever complained about it but still didn't do anything). Both rooms had ants EVERYWHERE. The phone in one room didn't work. The continental breakfast was FAR from extraordinary and the dates on the bagels and english muffins were expired in August of 2006!!!!!!!! Clearly they were frozen but even still, that's disgusting. All the breakfast choices were - cheerios, bananas, bagels, english muffins and donuts that several people were complaining about. We saw two other couples and another family all also struggling with their door cards. I was thoroughly disappointed.

Room Tip: maybe ask for one with an outside entrance? Check the room before you move in your things.

“Overpriced”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 August 2011

Paid $105 per night for 3 night stay. Should have been half that for the value received.
Room locks were faulty and we could only use key card half the time. Room was in need of repair big time. We had to ask for bathroom light to be replaced. Carpet was in need of replacement. Breakfast consisted of two cereals, coffee, juice and a few stale dougnuts. Pool was clean and staff tried to be helpful. Beds in room were not comfortable and need replaced. AC Unit in room loud and did not cool room unless set at 65 degrees. Only thing we liked was if was close to family we were visiting. Unless it gets a total makeover this will be only time we stay here.
