I stayed at the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square on Feb. 4th 2012 for one night. It is in the perfect location for walking around downtown Lancaster. The employees are very friendly, helpful & extremely professional. This hotel is beautiful and extremely clean. The rooms have nice comfy sheets and a beautiful view from the room. If you are looking to visit Lancaster I think this is the perfect hotel to stay at you can walk to central market, The Fulton, Lots of art galleries, neat little boutiques and many wonderful restaurants.

This is a beautiful hotel in a very nice location. The staff was exceptional. I got upgraded to the Concierge floor which offered snacks in the evening, an honor bar and a hot breakfast in the morning. I didn't get to spend any time in the area as I was there for a trade show but if I was back in the area I would have to put this on my "Stay Again" list!

While on a spur of the moment visit to the Lancaster area, we searched for a Marriot Hotel. By chance, we found the wonderful Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square. We inquired if a room was available and so began a delightful conversation with the very friendly and knowledgeable reception clerk Hal.
As we looked around the beautiful reception/lobby area, we negotiated a great rate with Hal. We were quickly given a spacious room with a full view of the city. We even received an amenity tray of cheese and crackers shortly after we entered our room. Hal informed us of restaurants in the area (we ate at the hotel restaurant) and gave us a map on which he
circled areas of interest. We then had a fabulous meal in the hotel restaurant where we were served by a lovely waitress by the name of Ashley. She also gave us a lot of information on the local interests and provided booklets and maps. The only down side to our stay was that we were on a car trip and were not going to stay in that area for more than one night...we were tempted to change our plans though! I highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting the Lancaster area.

We have stayed there twice, and we like the central location that was convenient for going to surrounding places - Lancaster, Strasburg railroad, and the shopping outlets in the area.

Only bad thing is you need to pay for parking, and is a bit expensive.
