Poor, poor poor dining experience. We dined at the General Lafayette Inn for Mother's Day in May and all I can say is if you enjoy overcooked and tasteless food, long waits for buffet items to come out and grocery store bought cut-up Entemann's pastries then this is the perfect spot for you. The buffet kept running out of food and I can still remember the faces of the little kids who were standing there waiting a very long time for the waffles and the frustrated mother's trying to keep them calm. The "coffee station" that our waiter told us about was a tray placed atop a serving rack that was for the ENTIRE dining room. It was a carafe of regular and a carafe of decaf - and they kept running out. The dining area looks nothing like on the Web site and it's very worn and tattered. Please, if you are going to take your Mother out for brunch, go elsewhere.
