“Excellent in every way”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2012

Had the pleasure of staying at this fine hotel while in King of Prussia, PA for a seminar. I can't say enough about how great my stay was. The room, indeed the entire property, was immaculate. The staff was friendly and courteous; helpful in every way. The food was superb; in fact the onion soup was the best I have ever tasted. I have read some of the recent negative comments and all I can say is I experienced none of the issues raised. My stay was great and I whole heartedly recommend you give it a try.

“Not too bad; go with the right expectations”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

I stayed here for 2 nights on a business trip - we were a group of 4.

After I got this on Priceline (~$70 a night through the bidding system) I read quite a few reviews that spoke of smelly carpets, run-down feel, etc.

Admittedly this hotel isn't top-notch, but it isn't bad. There was a faint lingering smell in the corridors but not a bad or musty smell that was offensive. The bathroom had a "Peter Sellers" feel to it, because of the pajama-style wallpaper, but that's okay. Hot water took its time coming - which was a waste of all the cold water that you had let run - but then it was fine.

For the price I paid, I had no problem with what I got - it was above average (though perhaps short of "Very Good") and clean and the staff were friendly.

Options for veggies are limited in their restaurant and there isn't really anything close-by, so if you are a veggie and need a late-night snack, 11PM is the max. that you can go till. Beyond that you should either have something in your room or have a car.

Room Tip: There was construction going on the property for the Scanticon Conference Center which is attached t...

“It USED to be nice”

When this place was the Sheraton...it was NICE. Fantasy suites 15th floor no fantasies any.longer. My first suite had NO heat it was freezing and they attempted to fix it 3 x's. The next room which is the old gigi room they now call it the parisian room..it so outdated, molding is cracked and broken. The hot tub is outdated and water flies everywhere. Here's teh real kicker, they told me they would move us to a comparable room..we went from a nice king size bed to barely a double! It was so bad we both left at 4am to come home. We told our experience to the front desk who didn't seem to care, they just kept saying they were sorry it didn't meet "our" standards! really! $300 per night...you should at least have heat and a decent room to sleep in. Years ago these rooms were amazing with a second floor and you could go out on the penthouse balcony, those days are gone. Now the second floor to these rooms are boarded up and you are stuck in a small cell with no windows Do not waste your money...I will never go back.

Room Tip: Don't stay here!

“Great staff but wow really needs updating (they're working on it)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

First the positive - the staff. Absolutely everyone (front desk, cleaning, restaurant staff) was really fantastic. Friendly, professional, helpful, etc. Someone is doing a good job there. Others have commented already on the sad sack appearance of the place, and unfortunately this is pretty accurate. Now they are in the middle of rennovations. Well, actually they're adding a casino, but hopefully this will extend to the rooms later. We stayed there on a 'romance getaway' package in one of the fantasy suites. While the decor design was fantastic, I don't think ANYTHING has been replaced since this place was built. The bath fixtures looked like they were picked up at Home Depot in 1987. The upholstry was old and fading. Everything was clean however - I think the staff is doing their best to make up for whatever cheapskate is responsible for the deplorable condition. Another negative for the 'romace' package was the nicer restaurant was closed for rennovation and we had to eat in what was clearly the business traveler too tired to head over to the KOP mall place. Food was OK, waitress was fantastic, but not even a little romantic.Despite all this, we had a good time anyway. The fantasy suites are somewhat unique - it was a lot of fun to stay someplace like this that's basically a business hotel. We live in the area and this was strictly a fun night away - headed over to the mall the next day for some Christmas shopping. Will probably do this again next year if we can work it out, but I might head over to KOP for dinner and skip that part of the package (breakfast was fine BTW).
