“Great Location, Great Breakfast, Great Hotel for the Price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2011

Stayed here while touring colleges in the Philadelphia area with my daughter. Located within 5 minutes walking distance to the largest east coast mall - King of Prussia Mall. Large room with microwave and mini fridge, quiet although near highway and terrific breakfast in the am. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: I always ask for a room on an upper floor away from ice machine to minimize noise.

“Looks tired”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 October 2011

I had to stay at the Comfort Inn due to a lack of rooms in the Philly area a few weeks ago. This hotel, while maybe parts are renovated, my room on the first floor certainly did not appear to be. In addition, for a comparatively priced hotel, the rooms were not to the standard of a Hampton Inn or Comfort Suites. My room was dark and had electrical wires attached to the wall so that the lighting fixtures could be plugged into outlets halfway up the wall. One electrical line was strung across the floor in front of the door to the adjoining room. During check-in, a man came out of the elevator in his pajamas and barefooted to use the vending machine. The front desk staff called out to him by his first name. Does he live here? The complimentary breakfast in the morning was the bare minimum and styrofoam plates and cheap plastic utensils are provided. My recommendation is to find another comparatively priced hotel in the area or just up the road, if available.

“Unusually nice place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2011

This hotel is immaculate, recently renovated, and has spacious rooms. And it's a very good value in this pricey area.

“Older, Nicely-Maintained; Best Value for Area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 August 2011

This is an older/continually renovated property. Cordial, but not particularly warm desk check-in agent. Very clean. The room had a refrigerator and micro which was appreciated...caters to business folks as the primary client. Wireless Internet connection was good/adequate. There is a guest PC that you can print pages on..."suggested" 10-page limit.
FULL Breakfast was a major upgrade with a pleasant, large interior terrace-like setting with scrambled eggs, sausage, better quality bagels, etc. Fruit was the standard apples, bananas, etc. no fruit bowl. You can also purchase wine/beer at the desk in the afternoon.
The hotel is situated on a very busy throughway within four blocks to the entrance to the King of Prussia Mall; it is impractical to walk to the mall because of the major road, however i should be noted the hotel is very quiet ad it is situated two blocks off the road.

The only thing that was a problem with the stay is that the air conditioning in the public areas kept the hotel at about 60 degrees. It was freezing at breakfast. It the summer, so it did not pose a major issue. I think there was an HVAC repairman addressing the issue as we left.

“Value wise, probably the best hotel in the east coast...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 August 2011

I stayed at the Comfort Inn with my gf.

On the plus side.

For starters, the room was spotlessly clean. Bathroom, sink and Toilet were all spotless as well .The bed was very comfortable with nice clean sheets. Nice comforter too ( SEE PHOTO)They used fitted sheets No springs, with decent firmness. The bed had a large cushioned pad (It was a very clean and comfortable black vinyl pad - SEE PHOTO )at the headboard so you can sit up and watch TV as well as not having to worry about hitting your head on the headboard!Just awesome! The TV was standard CRT screen with a very good picture. TV had HBO. The room contained a microwave and fridge (the fridge was on and cold when we came in- which is a huge plus since many shut their fridges off to save money) The room contained a sofa bed in addition to a desk It looked very nice. The air conditioner worked well quite powerful .( not very modern but i dont really care) Bathroom fixtures worked with no leaks or tightness. The water pressure was very good as well as the temperature. The bathroom was pretty big too!( see photos) The towel was folded in a way to make a pocket for one of the washcloths .That looked really cool! Room accepts AAA discount. Has Free Wi-Fi access( and on the plus side doesn’t require a login! yay!)At the front desk we asked for 4 towels. The concierge gave us 4 towels, no questions asked( and this is an another huge plus since I just had a not so good experience elsewhere with towels)The bathroom contained a heat lamp which we used to dry a couple towels during the day!.

For the downside? To be honest I am kinda picky and I gotta admit, I really can’t think of any. This was one of the best hotels ive ever stayed at. In fact this is the best value hotel i have ever stayed in. (other than the Marriot Salisbury in MD.( but that was not a big town and it was a brand new hotel) The Comfort Inn is in the KOP area and I am TOTALLY amazed the customers in that area didn’t trash it yet.

Ok ok let me think of a downside here…Ok I just thought of one problem- and its not even a big deal. The bathroom didn’t have a conditioner in it, and my girlfriend needs that for her long hair. The good news is I already anticipated that and I brought my own. But I have been to rooms that have had conditioners in it. Of course for 89 dollars I can let this slide! I can just bring my own next time.

I stayed here several years ago with a gf and if memory serves ( I wrote a review back then for it) I was pretty satisfied but it could have been better and it was more expensive back then than it is NOW! And the room had a fridge now and before there was none!. They certainly seemed to have improved their rooms lately!

Since the room was already extremely inexpensive for everything they gave you, plus had the AAA discount that I got, plus the area is very popular right and its near the largest shopping mall on the east coast , and with many nice restaurants and stores in the area…I will most definitely stay here again(I feel kinda guilty writing this review because I am afraid they will raise their rates if they see people praise the rooms like i did! As long as they keep their rates fairly cheap with the same quality I experienced recently, I shall return!) Very Highly Recommended
