“terrible”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2011

Stayed for three nights after a walk in. The rates went up after the second night, very small room not very clean, very noisy, whole floor smelled like stale smoke, definitely not worth the money. I paid $139 per night then was told it would be $239 after the second night but was charged $166 for the last night, very confusing. When i checked in I left a credit card at the desk to cover any expenses but requested to pay by cash when i checked out, this was no problem for the member of staff at the time. On the second day when I went to get the room key recharged at the front desk the on call manager wanted me to pay my bill right there. I explained that I would have to return to my room and get more cash, this seemed not to be satisfactory and I was treated as if I was a criminal and was told " I'd better return with the cash" Of course I returned to pay my bill but was left feeling unwelcome.
I have never been so insulted!
I'm a professional musician and have travelled all over the united states and have stayed with Holiday inn before but I will not be back to this one!

Room Tip: Avoid like the plague!!!!!

“Very Satisfied”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 October 2011

I needed to make a reservation for 2 nights, so I tried to do it on-line but the web site was acting up and I had to call. All I needed was a room with two separate beds for my son and myself. The person (Les) taking the reservation was very polite and very professional. After I was done and had given all the information, I had an afterthought. I asked if the room happened to have a fridge. Cheaper to take drinks that I already had at home than buying out of a vending machine.
So he said give me a second to check, He came back on the line and said, I have a suite available if you would like that. Meekly I asked how much more that would be, because honestly that was out of my budget. He replied, oh, the same price as the other room. I was shocked. So we went ahead and upgraded to the suite for the same price as a regular room.
When we arrived the next night, we went into the lobby and there were two gentlemen at the desk. i started to give my name to the one of them, when the second one finished answering for me, He smiled and said that he was the one that had taken the reservation the afternoon before.
The room was really nice, clean and comfortable. The rooms were large, and you could access the balcony from the living area and the bedroom. There was a king size bed and a pull-out sofa in the living room. The bed wasn't super comfortable, but I do have issues with hotel beds, I have a topper on mine at home, so your mileage may vary on that. The internet is wireless and also wired. That was pretty slow though. But this is the third hotel that we have stayed in, in the last few months and the only one that we were actually able to connect to wirelessly. It is really close to the mall, you could actually walk there if you wanted to.
We did not go the breakfast, so I can not comment on that, but I did take advantage of the fact that there is coffee available in the lobby 24 hours. There is ice and soda machines on all the floors. My son wanted to see the fitness room, and tried out each piece of equipment. They were all working fine. There was no problem parking right by the doors, and we left and came back numerous times. All of the staff were polite and helpful. If you don't feel like leaving the room, there are a number of restaurants that will deliver to the room. They have some menus at the front desk. I would definitely stay here again if I needed to be in this area.

“Back to college, back to King of Prussia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

This is our "tried & true" hotel when making trips to the Philly area where my daughter attends college. Consistently clean & comfortable rooms, polite and accomodating staff, an adequate breakfast to send us on our way with nourishment. We LOVE the proximity to the huge King of Prussia Mall, which is great for restaurants and picking up new clothes for the new school year as well as any dorm items we need. We've chosen this hotel since we first started college tour visits 5 yrs ago.....lots of colleges in the area.

“Excellent Choice in King of Prussia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 September 2011

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel a lot. It is a hotel where smokers can have a smoking room and are not treated as outcast! The room was big enough, air con was working very well and the beds were really soft and we had an excellent rest. The best was our balcony where we could enjoy a glass of wine and smoke a cigarette in peace. Location was very good and the hotel was easy to find (even by night). Would go again.
