“Consistently high quality, friendly staff, pleasant environment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of December. This was our second or third stay here. They seem to do everything right, making our stay easy, comfortable, and pleasant. The bed was lush; we love the feature that allowed us to set the firmness of our mattress. The staff were accommodating of special requests and made us feel welcomed "home" every evening. The wine & beer honor bar in the lobby was wonderful and very reasonably priced. It is perfectly located in the heart of the Brandywine Valley. The hotel was also decorated beautifully for the holiday.

Thank you for visiting us at the Hilton Garden Inn Kennett Square recently. We are so delighted you were able to experience the Brandywine Valley during the holidays, when there are so many beautiful exhibits in the plentiful area attractions. Equally nice is that you enjoyed our hotel and the bed; the adjustable feature is very popular! We look forward to welcoming you here again!

“excellent hotel, very close to Longwood Gardens”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

clean, friendly hotel. close to Longwood Gardens. Longwood Gardens is beautiful and worth a visit. Also, a good base for other Brandywine Valley attractions. We always drive the back roads through Lancaster County to get here, which allows great views of the Amish and their farms.

Hello Enja43-
Thank you for sharing your experience! We are so glad you enjoyed your visit and were able to take in Longwood Gardens, a treasure any time of the year, but especially over the holidays. And you are right about taking the scenic routes through Amish country, where you can take in a very different way of life - and nice antique shops along the way! We hope to see you back here at the Hilton Garden Inn Kennett Square! Thanks again for the feedback.

“HARD Beds”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

The hotel was very nice except for the HARD beds. They supposedly have "adjustable" mattresses and believe me, they are NOT. The breakfast and service was great, but the beds are so hard, you are miserable at night. We checked with the front desk and were told that these were new in July 2011. Supposedly Hilton cannot get the company to replace them. For the price we paid, it was not a good experience. I would have stayed at the Fairfield had I known how close they were to Longwood Gardens. Sorry Hilton folks, a gift card to Starbucks did not make up for the awful HARD mattresses.

Room Tip: You really need to check to see if they changed out those sleep select mattresses since Dec. 2011 be...

Dear Guest-
We are very sorry to learn of your experience. Although the Garden Sleep System beds are adjustable, and were specially made for Hilton Garden Inns to relieve pressure points and provide ergonomic support for the best night sleep possible, this doesn’t always happen. We typically try to switch rooms when there is a problem which usually helps, or personally attempt to adjust your bed. If you would contact me at the hotel I would be glad to discuss how we can provide a resolution. Thank you for your feedback.

“Excellent hotel-great staff-perfect location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2012

We stayed over for New Year's Eve night while visiting Longwood Gardens. The hotel is located less than a mile from the parking lot of Longwood Gardens and on the same side of the road. It can't be more convenient than that!! The front desk staff was extremely friendly and the night before our stay, one of the staff called to confirm if we wanted a smoking or non-smoking room just to make sure!! That has never happened to us before in all of our many hotel stays. When we checked in she remembered who we were and we even got upgraded to a jacuzzi room for no additional charge. After about an hour after checking in she called to make sure everything was okay and told us how to use the sleep number bed system they have. We were very impressed with the her and her name was Tina and she really went out of her way to make us feel truly at home. The room itself was large, the bathroom was large. The bed was just perfect, Loved the adjustable number system, wish I could have figured out a way to sneak that out the back door and take it home. The room was also very clean. Neutrogena products in the bathroom. The entire hotel was clean. They have a breakfast area downstairs in the lobby for $9.95 each but we didn't use it. Microwave, refrigerator and coffeemaker were in the room. We didn't use the pool or exercise room but did check them out and they both looked really nice. Wish we had more time to enjoy it. Applebee's is located right in the same parking lot and very convenient to just walk there for dinner, which we did. For it being New Year's Eve it was very quite and we didn't hear any noise at all in the hotel. Since we had a smoking room we were located on the third floor. This is a perfect place to stay to visit the Brandywine Valley & Longwood Gardens.

“Nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2011

Kennett Square is a small - aside from a few B&B's, there aren't too many accommodation options, but the Hilton Garden Inn is perfectly adequate, and very convenient if you're visiting Longwood Gardens which is just up the road from the hotel. There are nice restaurants all over the area, plus every kind of fast food. Our room was very clean and quiet - the standard coffee maker, microwave and mini-fridge, plus all-day coffee in the lobby. The bathroom had Neutrogena toiletries and plenty of space around the sink. If you're a smoker, ask for a ground floor room: at the end of the hall is an exit which has a smoking area - just use your keycard to get back in - nice if you just want to run out in your bathrobe!
