Highly recommend this bed and breakfast. I have stayed at many, and this one is outstanding. Rooms are beautifully appointed, and the Christmas decorations were tasteful and warm. Mike is a gracious host. We'll be back.

Liked it. Selected suite because I needed to work, but the second room is another bedroom. Owner very accommodating and rearranged furniture to make a table a desk. Bed VERY high and a bit hard for my taste, but all in all, a nice B&B within walking distance of restaurants and shops in the area.

Pleasantly surprised when we arrived at Bancroft. Our room was IMMACULATE and very roomy (we stayed in the suite). Mike, the innkeeper was friendly and very professional. We were a little concerned about the steps to the 2nd floor, but Mike carried EVERYTHING upstairs for us! The bed was soooooooooooooo comfortable and the comforter and pillows were gorgeous! Mike even had a nightlight in the bathroom (smart), so we weren't in total darkness.
I would stay here again if I came back to Kennett Square.

Charm, relaxation and friendliness are all thoughts that come to mind regarding our stay at the Bancroft. The manor has many glorious architectural treasures to admire, plenty of common areas for relaxation and reading, and Mike, the innkeeper, was most accommodating and friendly. Our room was very comfortable and clean, and Mike did show us the other rooms before guests arrived to check-in, and likewise, they were just as clean and cozy. Mike was also very helpful with suggestions about area attractions and restaurants. We also got some educational facts about Kennett Square from Mike.
