I have stayed at this hotel for the past five years. Every summer I go up to PA for a reunion and this place is great. Breakfast is great. The rooms are clean and up to date. The hotel is located right off the hwy and is easy to find.

The place is an ordinary comfort - well kept and well appointed. There are free cookies, doughnuts and coffee 24 hours a day, pool and exercise room good breakfast compared to many.

What a mess. There is free food and cheep beer on Wedsenday. The hotel staff is nice, and the breakfast is good, there is a microwave and minifridge in the room. However, the place is run down, the carpets are gross, I wore my shoes between the shower and the bed because I was scared (I usually dont). The beds were also very uncomfortable! By the end of the week I was a mess, sore back, tired, and skeeved out.

When you are in Johnstown, there are very few options where to stay (I heard the Holiday inn express is worse). However, next time I am out there I will stay somewhere else.... maybe outside of the "city".

We had a very pleasant stay (of 3 months!) at this property after a disaster at our home. The staff was consistently polite and gracious. Our suite was comfortable and we definitly liked the heat/air conditioning as it was not the typical noisy unit under the window. The hotel had a nice sized pool and whirlpool which were well maintained and clean. On Wednesdays, there is a manager's reception with specially priced drinks and free food. We enjoyed attending these receptions and socializing with other guests. The breakfast buffett offered many selections and there are Otis Spunkmeyer cookies every weekday afternoon to keep you satisfied. In summary, with the plentiful food and drink, pool, whirlpool, spotless facility and wonderful staff, I don't think there is a better place to stay in Johnstown. We looked at every other hotel in the area before choosing the Comfort Inn and we know we made the right choce.
