Great Inn in the Poconos. Get on their mailing list for special rates throughout the year. Casino, Outlets, Skiing and rafting are all close. Several nice restaurants in town too and lots of little shops.

The Inn is historic but has modern rooms and amenities. The bed was very comfortable and we had our own private balcony overlooking the main street. Ask for room 101, the room is very quiet even though it's on the first floor behind the staff office and lobby. The town is a sleepy little town so it's good for a quiet getaway. The train ride was nice but not all that memorable. There's a little Irish pub, Molly Maguires, off the square that offers outdoor seating, good food and beers at very reasonable prices. There's an outfitter downtown, across from the railroad station, that rents bikes. Downside to the room location was the incredibly loud noises from the recycle pick up!

The breakfast voucher you get with an overnight stay is an amazing value! It more than covered our breakfast choices.

You can't help but fall in love with the Jim Thorpe Atmosphere and this excellent run hotel. I certainly would like to recomend this to all visitors. Neat clean and priced fairly.

Don't let the look of the outside fool you- the rooms are modern with a vintage feel. There was a really nice Jacuzzi in the room, along with a fireplace. Great place for a mini romantic vacation. Another plus was the breakfast voucher for the restaurant, which was downstairs. The food was excellent. I'll def. be back.
