I stayed here for business for one night. The decor in the room is very old and ugly. The place has the feel of a bunch of demountables put together next to each other. The walls don't keep in the sound and you can easily hear your neighbours. Be sure to get something to eat nearby before 8pm because everything shuts promptly by then. However the place is clean and everything works fine. No problem with the staff. It cost me $100 for the night.
I stayed at the Gosford Motor Inn in March 2006. I'd stayed there a year before and I must say the hotel has improved somewhat. There is now cable television in the rooms, while the maid service is quite thorough each day.
I'd imagine this hotel is simply a pitstop for most on the way either up the coast, or to Sydney. Yet for the price it's not a bad way to spend a night or two.
It's close to Gosford's town centre and a short walk to the stadium (should you want to see a Football game).
Overall, not too bad at all.
