“A real "get away from it all" kind of place.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 February 2011

We were travelling down the east coast of Oz and arrived at the relaxed hippy-ish town of Byron Bay. The local Info office gave us the details for Cavvanbah, and we will be always greatful for that. After the hustle and bustle of Brisbane and the Gold Coast, this was just what we needed. Mine hosts, Kay and Peter, run a small bur immaculate b&b just a very short walk through the woods to the long, almost deserted but beautiful beach. To go to sleep with the sound of the Coral Sea in the back ground is a thing of dreams. The immaculate room, bath room and veranda are finished to a very high standard. A very welcoming stop over. Thanks Kay and Peter for a memorable visit to your beautiful home. We may not come your way again but we will have great memories. Ann and Chris- Two Senior Citizens from Guernsey, UK.

“Quiet and Comfortable”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2011

We recently stayed at the Cavvanbah Beach House in Feb 2011.

The beach house is located about 100m back from the beach and is away from the main road so it is in a quiet area. To get into town it takes about a 15 min walk along the road or 10 min along the beach.

The rooms are comfortable with a small kitchenette. Spa baths are available if you have aching bones. All rooms have a small outside deck area and there is a pool which has a couple of friendly lizards lounging around in the sunny part of the days.

Breakfasts give you a choice from toast, muesli, croissants, juices etc. We found this to be plenty of variety for us but be aware that there is no cooked breakfast - so go into town if that's what you are after.

Kay and Paul run a nice quiet B&B and are available to have a chat and glean some local knowledge.

If you want a resort experience don't stay here. As there have been some guests who think the contrary. It is a comfortable B&B that is tucked away from the main town and close to the beach.

Accommodation in Byron is higher than most seaside towns and we look for value for money. It was perfect for us and we will return if the price is right.

“Perfect for couples or solo travellers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 December 2010

My partner and I arrived in Byron to find the town inundated with Schoolies (like cane toads, they're heading south!) but we were very relieved to find that though Cavvanbah Beach House is walking distance to the town, it's still very secluded and Kay and Paul were on top of any noise complaints immediately. Though the rooms are a tiny bit small, you're a minute away from the beach and there's a pool and private patio, so it's not an issue. The service is excellent, and I would highly recommend staying here. We'll be back!

“Great Stay - Thanks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 November 2010

Had a great stay recently as a solo traveler in Byron Bay. Kay and Paul were both friendly and helpful. The accommodations were excellent, clean and spacious. Off street parking was available. House is located away from the main part of Byron Bay in a very quiet neighborhood. Very short walk to the beach by path through the dunes. Takes only about 10 minutes to walk into town either by walking the beach or the town streets. Enjoyed the breakfasts, simple but just fine. Byron Bay beaches are wonderful. All in all, a very nice few days in paradise....thanks Kay and Paul..will recommend to others.

“Great place to relax, fantastic location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 November 2010

This is the second time we have stayed at the Cavvanbah Beach House. We came back because of the great location, lovely facilities and relaxed atmosphere. Very classy accommodation, quiet, and easy access to beach. Hosts friendly and very knowledgeable about the town and local events. A great place to unwind. Can't imagine a better place to stay in Byron Bay.
