The owner is a friendly but disheveled chap who hardly helps to inspire confidence in cleanliness. The carpets are also stained though not necessarily unclean. The bed linen was crisp and clean and the bathroom was tatty but clean. so I think the trick here is not to take it on face value. It was fine for us as walkers for a night. Longer would have been a push.

This hotel is very run down and not very clean. The owner was friendly and was trying his best but the place needs a major make over. The only positive about the room was the stunning view of the beach, the state of the bathroom and the carpet in the room is best not mentioned. It was cheap at £55 for a twin but you get what you pay for.

This little hotel was just great for our 3 days trip to Cornwall in seach of a house to move to Newquay.
With my husband and six year old daugther I had a lovely time and the price for three of us including breakfast was just perfect (£ 55 a day).
Just a step from the sea and Perranporth Beach.
Owner very friendly and the English breakfast delicious.

First let me stay that Perranporth is a very dull resort town. The beach is amazing, so I can imagine it's ideal for families who want to spend a weekend in the sun on the beach in midsummer, when everywhere else is full. The hotel (which is really a B&B) sits on the edge of the cliff and our room had a fantastic view over the water. Our room was relatively large, but was pretty run down and we could see the dust on the carpet. The whole hotel had a musty smell and the breakfast was also pretty second rate. The owners were nice, helpful people - but we couldn't help feeling uncomfortable around them.
