“clean and nice place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2011

Stopped here on way home from Cornwall on motorbike.
Lovely family run the place, and provided a nice breakfast.
Town itself is very limited, and could not offer a decent meal. (I enquired in a bar for a place to eat to get the response "Thar's a kebab shop over t' road thar".)

Room Tip: check "roominess" of bath if you are tall like me.

“Brilliant base for seeing Cornwall. Dave, Service, Breakfast in any order are all great!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 October 2011

We had 5 nights at The Nebula, sat nav took us to the front door. Car parking is at the rear but not the easiest to negotiate with my limited mobility. Easier to use my Blue Badge across the road!

We met Dave as we arrived, we saw quite a lot of him in week. He carried our bags up the narrow stairs to the first floor where all the rooms are located and showd us to our room. Pleasantly surprised, a really good sized room, very clean and furnished to a better standard than expected for this level hotel. Unpack and find loads of space to store every thing. The 'shortage of hangers' problem as usual but we managed eventually. The bed and bedding we spotless and really comfortable.

Breakfast was served up to 9am weekday and 9.30am weekends. Plenty of variety from the very good Full English to all kinds of eggs, cerials, juices and as much toast or bread as you care to eat. For us it would have improved by being available for an extra half hour each day but that just me.

Dave cooked breakfast some days and Jeremy, the owner, others. The qualiy was always good.

We met up with Jeremy and his wife a number of evenings and enjoyed our chats. All in all good value for money and a place to return to.

“Handy for the town centre”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 September 2011

There's not a lot of accommodation in Liskeard, and although it's in a somewhat run-down area the Nebula is convenient for the town centre. The building could do with a little TLC - we thought we saw a damp patch on the bedroom ceiling! Nevertheless there was a friendly and helpful welcome and a hearty breakfast. Altogether reasonable value for money.

Room Tip: There would be less traffic noise at the back!

“Cheaper than Premier and a good breakfast!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011

Stayed here twicw over last year once in a single and once in a double. Both have very outdated old TVs and the rooms are a little faded. However staff are very welcoming and the breakfast is good. Carpark is steep and bumpy making getting your luggage inside a challenge if it's heavy. I have stayed here and at Premier; this has much more character and is great as long as you are not a clean freak!

“A good budget family b&b”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 August 2011

We Stayed at the Nebula for 4nights. on arrival we were greated by the owners who were very welcoming, check is was very straight forward and we were shown our room (NO 5)The room was very spacious however the decor was a little dated and could have done with a bit more of a thorough clean, we did take in to consideration for the price we paid.

we did have a couple of issues with the lights and shower head, but these issues were sorted soon after they were reported

The free pool table was great along with the free wifi, and there are lots of board games for the family to play.

Liskeard is a good base if you are exploring corwall, but there is NOTHING to do in liskeard.

Breakfast was very nice, i even got extra tomatoes each morning as requested ;)

Overall: Good budget hotel (OVERALL RATING STATES AVERAGE AS THERE WAS NO OPTION FOR GOOD) and ideally situated for exploring cornwall.
