We scored a Groupon deal for this place (£85 for two nights, including breakfast), so a bargain. The house is set in beautiful surrounds - woodland, well-kept gardens, with peacocks wandering around, white doves and other wildlife. Service was warm and friendly, room (8) was relatively small, but made good use of space. Bathroom was probably the biggest disappointment - I can cope with small, but the shower was pitiful. No power WHATSOEVER. One of those things that lets down an entire bathroom...

We had a great week here and we certainly plan to return.
The staff were very friendly and helful and the menu kept all the family happy-which does not happen often!
We were lucky with the weather and the grounds were most pleasant for the children to explore, while we just relaxed by the lake.

we bought groupon vouchers for 1 hours horseriding for our four children .
they were taken out on a ride with two teenage girls who didnt even wear the correct attire for riding and returned to us 35 mins after they left not the hour as advertised.
we mentioned this to management but noone came out to see us while we finished our cream tea
