The four of us arrived at Trevartha Farm after a 5hr drive from Portsmouth, we were met by the owner Kathryn, this is a working dairy farm so Trevor her husband was doing what farmers do.
Kathryn welcomed us with tea and coffee and a jam sponge to die for made by her that very day, everything is homemade.
Our rooms were very comfortable and homely,my husband and I had the double and my sister and her husband had the twin rooms.Everything was provided.
Breakfast is as much or as little as you want, but do try the poached fruit with youghurt, followed by bacon, egg, sausages tomato and beans with fried bread no less, that isn't full of fat.
Explore their lovely manicured gardens,( mowed by Trevor) sit and enjoy the peace and quiet for a while. Heaven.
A few villages are dotted around the area, with pubs and Spar shops. Liskaerd is a couple of miles away easy to get to and a nice few shops for a small town. We eat at the chinese restaurant in Liskaerd, third year running, but most Pubs serve food.
If you like an unhurried laid back way of life with plenty of gentle walks then this place is for you.
Our stay was a Bank Holiday break and was for 2 nights, and yes we will go back.
