I go down to Camelford on business several times a year and always try o stay at this hotel. The rooms are great and the staff are very friendly. The food is not expensive and is not too bad. Give it a try you will not be sorry.

We have just returned from our golf weekend with 2 friends. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel extremely welcome by ALL the staff even though we had had a few communication problems before we arrived. What I would say to anyone contemplating leaving bad reviews on here is 'Speak to the manager if you have any problems'. They are very accommodating and would rather sort out any issues whilst you are there rather than coming away and then complaining on here. They can't do anything about it then! Although, there is in our opinion nothing to complain about. The food is outstanding and beautifully presented. Well done chef for sorting out our 'burger' on saturday evening - we did see the funny side of it and no hard feelings! The golf course is immaculate especially for the time of year and we met some wonderful people. The green keeper does a wonderful job and is obviously passionate about it. And, I have never seen such a 'prettier' putting green! The only minor thing we noticed was that the restaurant was a little austere and could do with some quiet background music just to lift the atmosphere a little. But now we are being really 'picky'! We ate in the bar one evening and that was much more atmospheric. All said, we had the most wonderful time and really didn't want to leave. As 'Arnie' would say 'We will be back"!

my husband is a really keen golfer, so as a surprise weekend break away thought i would book this hotel. lovely location he enjoyed the golf with a friend, and my girlfriend and i did the shopping.rooms perfect and very clean and comfortable.recomend that if you go ,stay and eat here,food good and not expensive.
