“Benefits from being so close to Wembley”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

Stayed in the Hilton Wembley Plaza with my children when we went to see Olly Murs. Booked a triple room including breakfast. On arrival I was not greeted as a Hilton Honors member and was not given the option to set up a room charge account. Went up to the room to drop off our things and was disappointed that even though it had 3 beads 2 were right next to each other with no bedside table for one. It was also really close to the window and it was very cold. The heating system, like a lot of things looks quite old and there was no way to adjust the temperature so room was cold. After the concert we decided to order room service only then to find out as the charge to room had not been set up I would have to go down and pay, even then they got the order wrong. Breakfast the next day was as expected, good quality food and plenty of it. The staff were friendly and courteous. On check out the receptionist managed to deal with me only by uttering a couple of words, so not particularly friendly of polite. All in all this is quite an expensive hotel due to its location and they probably get away with bad service and not re-firbing it because of this. Hopefully they will invest some money in it as a sister hotel is opening nearby so will become competition.

“Decent hotel with helpful staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

Soon after arriving in my room I was happy to discover a trouser press and although the room was cold there was radiator which I could control in the room. I was happy, but then discovered my TV didn't work. Someone from maintainable arrived quickly and agreed that it was not working and asked reservations for an alternative room. I was moved across the corridor. On the positive side the new room was quieter as it was not above a building site. However sadly, this room had no trouser press and no independently controlled heating. However it was fine with a large bed and desk, if a little over hot. Breakfast was quite decent for a corporate chain. Bacon etc looked a little more appetising than is often the case but I was able to fill myself by helping myself to a large bowl of porridge. Unfortunately on the first morning the tea was tepid and as a result not well brewed. This was not repeated on the second morning. The bakery items were not attractive and so after an initial bite I saved the calories. On site parking is convienient.

“Cheerful”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

The Wembley Plaza is managed by Hilton (though you have to look very hard to find their logos in the hotel). A step above Travelodge and Premier Inn, but below that of Hilton in general, which was where the hotel was priced.

Check-in staff were friendly. Room was comfortable. Bathroom had a mirror with an obscenity carved on it which showed up you had a shower and condensation formed on it.

Room came with free snacks, water and wine.

At the pricepoint, the stay was perfectly acceptable.

Staff at breakfast were very attentive. Food average quality, but fine.

“Hotel good, clean and nice spa”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

I stayed there 4 days. The staff was friendly, room was very clean, warm, comfortable beds, pilows. I didnt find it outdated as written in the description. There was a flatscreen in the room. It was good enough. Not huge, but not too small. Spa was a bit crowded sometimes, but it was ok. Breakfast was very good too, lots of fruit, some different sort of breads, juices, etc There are 2 negative points. Its quite far from the subway. The trainstation is right next to the hotel, but the metro was for sure 15 minuts walking. And it took quite a long time to get to the city center. So if you want to be quickly there, I shouldnt chose this hotel. The room doesnt have a minibar. That was not that good. I prefer to have a cold drink in my room and not to call the roomservice. There are shops nearby, so i bought my drinks there. I enjoyed my stay for sure :)

“great value right on Wembley's doorstep”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

Bargain room here, cheaper than any of the usual ultra budget hotel chains in the area.Chilly 10 minute walk from Wembley Park underground station.Efficient courteous and friendly check in.The room was spotless with bath and overhead shower with plenty of hot water.Comfy bed .Breakfast was fairly standard breakfast buffet .Check out was efficient. Wembley arena and stadium are a five minute walk.Great location and price for Wembley.
