I was attending a conference at Twickenham Stadium. Having done some research I chose Premier Inn over the Marriott, and I am very glad that I did.
The room was amazingly spacious for a London hotel, and the bed huge and comfortable.
I noticed another reviewer say that his carpet looked old, but I have to say that everything in my room (number 18) was brand spanking new!.
I am quite fussy, but I found the room was spotlessly clean, and tea/coffee making facilities were provided together with 30 minutes of complimentary Wi Fi, which was a pleasant surprise!
Another bonus was the large, free car park, right next to the hotel.
I did not eat breakfast at the Winning Post restaurant next door...I do find these Harvester type places rather depressing.
Nearby in Twickenham there are some excellent restaurants which serve breakfast, lunch and dinner (a couple of good Italians in Church Street), or a little further afield in Richmond, where there is also plenty of shopping.
It was surprisingly easy to get into central London...a few minutes walk to Whitton station, and then either a direct train from Whitton to Waterloo (which was most civilised, plenty of seats, and brand new trains), or change at Richmond to take the tube .
I was very pleasantly surprised by the whole experience, and will certainly consider this hotel the next time that I am visiting London, since it offers amazing value for money.
