I stayed here with my other half, and we weren't overwhelmed. We had no problems checking in, staff seem alright (but be warned, they do pre-authorise your card which I wasn't aware of) and headed off to our room which we in a separate building just next door. Although it was New Years Day, the place was like a ghost town - absolutely no one except a few people at the bar! We didn't see or hear anyone in the building with all the rooms.

The rooms are very spacious and decorated simply but tastefully, with a decent sized bathroom and the bed is quite comfy. There is a small television in front of the bed with a good number of channels. However, there are definitely a few signs of wear and tear - patches in the wall paper, limescale on the shower and a few marks on the walls; nothing too bad but it is definitely noticeable. The room and bathroom were very clean and the shower was very good.

Overall our stay was very average, it is in a good location though and I can imagine becomes busy for the rugby. With a few touch ups in the rooms, it could look really lovely but for now shows a lack of maintenance.

Further to my last review I have returned here and am pleased to say that the service is significantly (vastly) improved. Attentive staff who were focused on making sure everyone was attended to. Breakfast is really good value. Well done!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel 3rd December for one night. It was an OK bedroom but the rooms and the hallway could do with a refurb. The breakfast was well cooked but took about 10 minutes for our order to be taken (I would not say the dining room was packed!).
This hotel needs to buck-up its ideas especially with the soon to open Travel Lodge just around the corner.
Pluses: Close to Teddington rail station and in walking distance to Twickenham Rugby Statium (takes about 40 minutes).

My husband and I have just returned from a one night stay at Park Lodge whilst visiting family in the area. We have stayed at Park Lodge before and all was fine otherwise we would not have returned a second time. Our bedroom in the main building was very cold there was a type of storage heater and a convector type of heater neither had been switched on. The convector type was very noisy so we could not leave it on all night. The room itself whilst reasonably clean is badly in need of some TLC as is the bathroom but a jolly good "scrub" here would be an improvement. To breakfast - well what a shambles.
I ordered porridge which did arrive after 30 minutes. The porridge itself was very nice but it was in a stone cold dish so by the time I got to the end of it the porridge was cold. We ordered a cooked breakfast which again took an age to appear I had ordered scrambled egg but it was more like a mashed up omlette and the bacon was so burnt well black in fact it was I think I can safely say the worst breakfast I have had and again as the plate was barely warm the breakfast was luke warm. My husband did not get on much better although his two poached eggs were cooked exactly as he likes them. We did think we ought to have sent both meals back but having regard to the fact we had already waited an hour we decided against this but on checking out we did make the receptionist aware of our dissatisfaction but her response was not what we had expected. I would say in the hour or so we were in the restaurant we saw two people who had been waiting so long for their breakfast to appear get up and leave clearly they had more pressing engagements and just could not wait. Personally I don't blame them. The restaurant was not full by any means and in other hotels in which my husband and I have stayed breakfast is usually one of the swiftest meals to be served. Buck your ideas up Park Lodge!
