Stayed here on a special 2 nights for the price of 1. It was perfect location to visit Trafford Centre and the Travel Show at the Events Centre. Check in was efficient. The room was clean and quiet. Beds & pillows very comfortable and the room temperature cool which was perfect, not over heated as some hotels, but there was the option to turn the heat up if required.
Breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold offerings and we were seated quickly and offered tea or coffee without a wait.
The bar staff were welcoming, friendly but still maintained a professional image.
All in all a good stay and I would return & would recommend for its proximity to the Trafford Centre (15-20 mins).
The only slight, negatives were,
No hot water on arrival, and when I enquired about this in the morning the receptionist said, oh yes, I think they were having some trouble with the boiler. I was surprised that she didn't either apologise or suggest she check to see if everything was ok now.
We stayed in an executive room and there were no bathrobes in the room, but, as there was no hot water on the first night we were unable to shower and so didn't need the robes. These were placed in the room the next day at our request.
The hot breakfast on the first morning was a little cold, as if the heat lamps were in need of replacing. We were early to breakfast and there were only a few people in the restaurant, so perhaps the food had been out a while and the heat lamps werent really up to the job. Everything was fine in day 2, but the restaurant was a lot busier and therefore turnover of food more regular.
