The hotel is set in very attractive grounds, mainly lawn, with pleasant views through the leaded pane windows. The building is set back from the road and looks just like a Manor House and oozes charm with a wealth of Elizabethan timbers. The main reception area and guest lounge/s and bar area are very comfortable and warming. We stayed for Dinner which was excellent. The wine list was quite extensive. The full English breakfast was also of a very good standard. We had a Superior bedroom which was comfortable, well heated, with a large bathroom. The Kettle in our room did not work but was quickly changed. The twin 13amp floor plugs were loose in their sockets as was the Mirror on the dressing table. We pointed this out to the Receptionist when we left. Some of the rooms are quite a long walk from Reception and the public areas.
