Although i checked in at 9pm, the greeting was warm and extremely friendly. The room was cosy ,clean and had everything ,including free wi fi,that i needed. The grounds were well kept with ample parking. The second evening i arrived back late and asked if it was possible to have a meal and drink brought to me in my room as i was exhausted. This was no trouble to the manager at all and a friendly waiter arrived with the refreshments within half an hour. The meal was excellent and freshly cooked. A great 3 night stay and highly recommended.

You must pay on arrival because they dont trust guests. It is Campanile who cannot be trusted to be reasonable. Website is total lies. Pierre Gagnaires menu was a frozen Pizza and Chips both under cooked.Nothing else available not even a cheeseboard. Breakfast was frozen bread, undercooked baggette and Croisants of uncooked dough. When pointed out to staff that this was inedible the only response was 'Why' So wrote to the MD-.another waste of time. Trading standards and Food safety should visit this 'Hotel.'
I know it is a budget price but there is nevertheless a minimum level of stands which you should expect. Stay away for your healths sake.

Before making our booking we read this site and were almost put off by those scathing one star reviews. However we booked anyway and are very glad we did. Our room was clean and neat and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was better than ours at home and we had enough space for all our stuff. Having read the other reviews here we were on the look out for ciggy smells etc, and (to be honest) we did detect some, but they were faint and we soon didn't notice. We were also a bit worried about the much complained of traffic noise, but again, it seemed to have been greatly exaggerated. Having lived in London for many years we were used to much higher levels of noise. As for the issue of absence of electric sockets, what do you think the TV and electric kettle were plugged into? When my wife wanted to use her hair straighteners, we just unplugged the kettle. Jesus, how much brains does that take?
So the room was perfectly adequate, the staff were friendly and very helpful (supplying extra towels and pillows on request) and the price of £35 a night (plus an extra £2.50 each for the cooked breakfast option) for two people was cheaper than camping. We have paid more money to stay in worse places (Travel Lodges etc).

I think the title says it all!
Room was dark and damp; with patches of black mould on the walls, ceiling & shower curtain. There was brown stains on the carpet, skirting & ceiling, chipped & damaged paint everywhere. To sum up - horrible!!!
