We hadn't been to the Granary for some time but recently enjoyed a superb dinner there with friends. We were suitably impressed by refurbishments to the restaurant and bar area which create a relaxed environment. We all chose from the three course set menu - our various selections each got rave reviews from the four of us for both quality and presentation. It's also worth saying that the service we received was first class. We're certainly tempted to visit again soon.

Our Family, young and elder members stayed here while attending a Wedding. Everything you could need in a Hotel room was there and even free Wi-fi in rooms and public area. Views from bedrooms absolutely wonderful from all the rooms on the far side. Staff can't do enough for youand the food superb - particularly breakfast - never seen such a wide choice anywhere before - would definitely stay there again

My wife and I stayed for a two night break on 25th October on a half board basis and found it a very pleasant experience. The Granary is to our minds a very good restaurant with rooms set in a rural setting, the accommodation is in a separate block and our room was clean, well appointed and comfortable although we did find the bed hard and it was without a trouser press. The restaurant is superb, it is modern and comfortable with competent, friendly and efficient staff. There is a tendency for the clientele to be mature and everyone was well dressed in the restaurant. There are no facilities for children and no children’s menu but listening to a party in the restaurant with three small children there was immediately an offer for the kitchen to provide something suitable for them. When it comes to the food, the quality and presentation of the food is truly fantastic and tastes as good as it looks. If you have the ‘Full English Breakfast’ you will not need lunch. My only criticism is that the menu did not vary on the second day and as the Set Dinner Menu contained one fish, chicken or pork main course and as I am not keen on chicken or fish I found it restrictive. The staff did offer any choice from the A La Carte menu with the difference being charged. I had a haddock fish cake with a lightly poached egg on top as a starter absolutely delicious and if it still on the menu when you visit, go for it.
We will certainly be happy to visit the Granary again and thoroughly recommend it.

Son and heir held the wedding reception here for 100 dinner guests and another 40 evening guests. Hotel is in a good position in the rural part but not too far from civilisation. It is very well furnished and decorated and clean throughout. Service was very good and we were well looked after. Food is generally excellent in the restaurant although our wedding meal of roast beef was a bit disappointing - fatty. Staff made up for it with extra free wine! Nice garden for small reception after the wedding - drinks and canapes.

Good rooms for evening reception; we had a great band. Hotel rooms comfy. Self-service breakfast was very good with a wide selection of cooked food but not much fruit.
