We have just returned from a lovely stay at Parkmore Farm. Nothing was too much trouble for Jackie to get for us. We had a huge and airy en-suite double bedroom whilst our 7 year old daughter had a connecting room to herself next door. She loved it. The owners have a beautifully kept garden and a tennis court as well as beautiful grounds to walk around. V nice breakfasts freshly cooked to order on the Aga with plenty of choice. The owners can recommend places within a short drive to eat in the evening. The only down side is the railway line that runs along the bottom of the garden. Within easy reach of Kidderminster (didn't stay there long enough to find anywhere of interest) and Bewdley - well worth a visit. There is a very interesting and educational museum there which is free and has enough to entertain children for an hour or two. My daughter was chuffed with the skipping rope she helped make and learnt about rope making in the process. Wyre Forest is a good place to visit for children and adults alike with mountain bike and walking/nature trails of varying lengths and difficulty, pond dipping, fossil hunting and other outdoorsy type things to do. The Severn Valley Railway runs nearby from Kidderminster to Bridgenorth with plenty of interesting places to visit en route. In all, a good weekend break for those who like exploring outdoors and enjoy good food. Not sure how much fun it would be in wet weather though.....
