“A wonderfully warm and friendly B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 December 2009

Run by a warm and friendly couple who go above and beyond to make your stay really special. Yummy tea, cake, fruit salad and fried breakfast helped fill us up, and they were so happy to help us with all their local knowledge.

The B&B was on the bus route into Bath (20 minutes), there was also a welcoming local pub 4 doors away that served huge portions of country pub food, so it was the perfect alternative to a hotel in the hustle and bustle of Bath itself.

Incredible value for money and a really special stay.

“Absolutely fantastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 July 2009

My wife & I have travelled a lot and have stayed in many types of accommodation throughout the World.... Kingsstile B&B is a fantastic very English country B&B at its very best. Both Sean and Victoria couldn't have been any more attentive to our every need. Lovely location, a wonderful welcome (Pot of Tea with China cups & homemade flapjacks) and a gorgeous room with fresh flowers!

I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone wanting to stop in this area.

“Perfect In Every Way”

The previous reviews are heartily agreed with. This is a beautiful B&B. Nothing was too much trouble to Victoria and Sean who are both gorgeous people. They were the perfect hosts.
We stayed at this marvellous place in August and it was an ideal position to use as a base for Bath and the surrounding areas:- a days trip to Wales, back up to some of the beautiful Cotswold villages (Castle Combe being my favourite), Avebury, down to Stonehenge, the many hillside chalk horses, the Ridgeway etc etc etc. Victoria was most helpful in her advice on suggesting 'must sees' and loaned us all sorts of maps and information brochures to help.
The breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented. The rooms were spotlessly clean and so very comfortable and spacious. Our daughters boyfriend joined us for 2 nights and it was no trouble to have an unexpected extra. The shared bathroom and WC (shared between our 2 rooms) were also spotless and convenient to both rooms.
Absolutely perfect in every way!!!

“A warm welcome awaits at Kings Stile”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2006

A warm welcome awaits at Kings Stile Cottage, Atworth near Bath. We stayed here in order to attend the Jane Austin Festival in Bath in September. Atworth is about 8 miles East of Bath and is on a main bus route into the City or £15 by taxi. Almost as soon as we had parked our car at the rear of the property we were met by Sean who carried our bags to our beautiful twin bedded room at the rear of the cottage. Victoria offered us a cup of tea despite there being facilities in the room for tea, coffee and chocolate. There is a small fridge on the first floor landing for guests use although it is well stocked with soft drinks and chocolate for sale at below the retail price. Our twin room was comfortable with a wash basin towels and face cloths and the shared bathroom was next door. There were no sharing issues as there is only one other guest bedroom, a family room, and we did not get in each others way. Sean and Victoria were the perfect hosts and could not have done any more for us. We were given all the information we needed for our visit to Bath and a taxi was also ordered. The cottage has all the charm any traveller would expect with personal touches a homely atmosphere and a huge English country breakfast. There was fresh fruit, cereals and a full cooked breakfast, juice, tea and freshly brewed coffee. I would defy you to find better in the 5 star Royal Crescent hotel! We were set for the day and did not eat again until late afternoon. Literally a few yards to the left of the cottage is The White Hart Public House. I can highly recommend this as we ate there on the Friday and Saturday night. The steaks are superb and the menu extensive. Excellent wine at a reasonable price. As soon as we returned from Bath on Saturday we were once again met by Sean and Victoria and offered tea. What can I say; you will not find a better place to say or more hospitable hosts. Excellent

  • Liked — Warm Welcome, Hosts, Homely Atmosphere
  • Disliked — Not big enough to take all my frinds as it would need 10 bedrooms!
  • Tips/Secrets — Get in quick! Stay more than one night as there is so much to see and is a centrakl location for Bath and the otswolds.
