We stayed here last weekend and had a very pleasant stay. The staff were warm, welcoming & friendly. The family that run the place are lovely. We stayed in room 4, our room was immaculate & came with a flat screen tv & all the things you'd expect like a kettle, coffee, shower items. Lovely comfy bed. We had wifi access for our laptop. The food was delicious & plenty of juices, teas, coffees.. During our stay we toured around devizes & found loads to do. The locals are nice & you see the community in the place. We will be going back some time next year. We also caught loads of orbs on our camera. We fully recommend anyone to stay.

I was only in for food a couple of times, but I definitely will return next time I'm in Wilts. (Lived in the UK 40+ years ago, and have to say, the food is a LOT better than it used to be.) The old standards are still served, though, but made with fresh ingredients and great care, and I found this to be true at The Black Swan. I had a mid-day meal that arrived looking so delectable, I took a picture before starting. On another day, just before 3 p.m., when the kitchen was closing, they gave me a lovely hot cup of tea and a thick, tasty ham sandwich. As I'd been hiking around in drizzle most of the day and hadn't eaten since breakfast, this "fill'er up", got me back and on the road again to my out-of-town B&B. The service was friendly, and everyone made this gray solo traveler feel right at home.

We stayed at The Black Swan on Sunday 9 October and thought it was good. The room was comfortable, and whilst on the front of the Hotel we had a good nights sleep. We had a large en suite bathroom with one of the best baths I've had, with endless hot water, and there was a shower. We were cycling and Mike gave us space under cover to put the bikes away.
The evening meal was delicious, home cooked and very tasty as was the breakfast which again was well cooked, good ingredients and on a hot plate, ticked every box!

Every one there was friendly & helpful, we hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

i stayed at the black swan on recommendation. when i looked it up on trip advisor, there were a few mixed reviews. when i arrived i was greeted with a smile, the room was clean and pleasant with en-suite bath, tea and coffee, digital tele and iron and iron board which i was grateful for, i didn't iron clothes before i left!!! i came for a friends wedding. the breakfast was served till 9:30 with a wide selection of fruit, yogurts, cereal to a full english breakfast!! i was very impressed and the breakfast was lovely. i must say i was very impressed and can't believe that the reviews i read are for the same place, i really couldn't pick fault and i must admit i did try!!! i think people are so quick to complain but never to compliment!!! i do recommend this hotel the staff are so friendly and i think its a family run hotel. if i'm ever in the area again i will be returning. thank you again.
