What a breath of fresh air this place is! - A really first class English hotel with attractive, smartly dressed and friendly staff and management who could not do enough to help us and make us feel very welcome. All the meals were first class and promptly and beautifully served and the cuisine was of a high standard. The bedroom and bathroom was spacious, very well appointed and the bed so good that we would have liked to bring it home! The bath could do with a grab handle on the wall to facillitate safe use of the excellent shower.
On another point the management were very helpful and flexible when we were booking; our visit timing was very weather sensitive to view the acers best colour at Westonbirt and they happily (I think!) altered booking dates several times to allow for the vagaries of last year's weather. We would not hesitate to return or recommend to others.

A friend and i took advantage of a dinner, bed & breakfast weekend break at the Mayfield House hotel in late November - it was excellent value for money. Room was comfy & well proportioned, staff really helpful & friendly. The food at dinner and breakfast was superb. I`d thoroughly recommend the hotel

It makes a refreashing change to visit somewhere that the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome, nothing was too much trouble, effort or fuss. We were a large group and all our meals were perfectly synchronized. I wouldn't think twice about recommending the Mayfield House Hotel to anyone and will certainly use it again in the near future.

I purchased an overnight stay here on groupon as a surprise for my boyfriend's Birthday. We travelled down with our 10 month old son, and our 4 year old labrador! So we were not expecting a relaxing stay. However we had a wonderful time, and it was mainly down to the friendly staff who made us feel welcome. They were willing to help and go the extra mile for us, and nothing was ever too much. Any parent would agree that it's not easy travelling with a baby let along a dog aswell. But we were overwhelmed with how easy the staff made this for us. The food we had was gorgeous! And the area was beautiful, as there was plenty of land to walk around. The room we stayed in was very clean and spacious. I would definately stay again!!! A massive thank you to all the staff!
