Athough part of the Best Western Group, this lovely Cotswold stone built hotel has individual charm and character. We stayed in a 'better' double room for 2 nights in January 2012. It was very comfortable, warm and exceptionally clean, with the bonus of a king sized bed. From arrival all the staff were friendly and helpful and even produced a road map of the area when we discovered we had forgotten ours! Dinner on the Saturday evening was good with reasonably priced choice of wines. Breakfast also good and plentiful, the chef did finally serve up a runny poached egg after this picky customer asked twice. Malmesbury and Tetbury are worth a couple of hours wandering - the highlight of the Saturday day out was Westonbirt Arboretum.
