I took a side trip to salisbury to visit stonehenge and since my only goal was stonehenge I thought because of it's location I'd stay here.

I will say I'm usually not a fan of holiday inns as I haven't really had good experiences with them.

I got a standard room which was small but clean. The staff was very friendly and the amenities were pretty good as well. I had a room on the motor way side and was a bit concerned about the noise but it didn't end up being a problem.

I do think that if you are going to be in salisbury for more than one night you should definitely stay in town, but if like me you were just going for one night with a visit to stonehenge you really can't beat the location.

A quiet if somewhat (typically small roomed) Holiday Inn. Very clean, good staff, well but basically furnished and in a good location. We visited the Harvester Hotel for dinner and found it excellent. Petrol station and grocery coop also just next door. A good place for travellers and only a few minutes drive from Stonehenge.

We stayed here for New Years Eve, the package included a lovely meal, Disco and a room with a late breakfast the next morning. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The Disco was excellent. We had a most enjoyable evening. Breakfast was served until 11am which was great after a late night. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.

We stayed for two nights as we were visiting Stonehenge Brewery. Check in was no problem and we were advised that on our second night there might be some noise due to the christmas party night but were invited to use the bar and listen to the Rat Pack tribute act. Very quiet stay, used the Harvester for food on the first night and as we had a late lunch the next day we didn't need to eat. If we had wanted to eat apparently they were waiving the tray charge for room service because of the party night. Breakfast was fine - better on the second morning as were ate earlier, think we were last to eat on the first morning so service for coffee was very slow.As mentioned by other reviewers there is also Pizza Hut and a KFC so didn't feel the need to drive out anywhere for food. Would stay again if travelling down the country. The heating/air con system took a bit of fathoming out though. Shower was fine.
