My husband, brother in law and I stayed in the triple room at the front of the hotel...an absolutely lovely place, comfortable and well decorated, that provided perfect
privacy in what could have been close quarters. The hotel is cozy, warmly appointed, wonderfully maintained. The staff is knowledgable, friendly, just the right amount of attentive, and welcoming. Breakfasts are delicious. Absolutely the best place on our trip and our only disappointment was that we had failed to book a longer stay. Pool area inviting. A perfect boutique hotel experience.

After talking with several ex-pats who were staying in the area we were truely spoiled. Everything was exceptional there from the location to the rooms but what made it a true gem amongst other places were the staff. Not to many places no how to make you feel like family and at La Posada Azul...you are family. Do not waist your time looking or reserving anywhere else and do not get hung up on room #6 at La Pasoda Azul...they are all great rooms!!!

Friendly staff, peaceful courtyard,simple room but clean.
Great breakfast .
San Juan del sur has become much cleaner and from the hotel it is nice to walk to the waterfront and all the restaurants.
But a must is the Colibri restaurant, 2 blocks from the hotel behind the church.great food and setting.

We stayed at La Posada Azul for five days and loved every minute. We stayed in room 6 which was spacious, spotless and private. The breakfasts were delicious and healthy and the staff was extremely accomodating. The hotel itself is less than a block from the beach and restaurants, but feels peaceful and quiet inside. I can't wait to go back!!!
