We stayed several nights at this hotel, and later regretted it. It was dirty, they never cleaned up the room, and the staff was very rude to us. AVOID THIS PLACE. There are plenty of other options in SJDS!

This hotel is more like a back packer hostel, although the rooms are mostly private they attract the back packer scene and as such the back packer noise. The room was never cleaned and the toilet bin had to be emptied by us, Again adding to that back packer feel. Water pressure was also a bit of a problem. At $30 for a double room with AC it was OK.

For those on a budget there was a small kitchen which could get a bit grubby at times.

We were on a fun trip with friends but we needed to this one on a budget. So we asked a taxi driver to take us to the best hotel with AC for the lowest price and we ended up at Hotel Encanto del Sur. We booked 3 rooms that were all clean, neat and had ice cold AC. There was a sitting area upstairs and kitchen we could use too. Everything was within walking distance and we had fantastic meals and drinks at the Colibri restaurant 2 blocks away and on the beach at the Iguana where margaritas and ice cold beers were only $1.50. So this is a great place to stay on a budget!
