This is the kind of hotel you would pick if you purely JUST needed a place to rest your head at night. It was obviously old, and the rooms need updating. The hotel is "quaint," but the rooms were not. The building I was in:
-the ice machine was old, and in the far corner of the basement. The hallway down there is just creepy
-the "closet" consisted of a metal bar under the tv shelf in the corner
pros:
-there was a small fridge in the room
-the sheets seemed very clean
-there is a pool

The hotel overall was just... eh. It definitely wasn't great by any means, and it seemed to just be "enough to pass codes." I don't know. I hate to talk bad about anything, but several times I was tempted to find a different hotel.

I booked a stay here and guaranteed it with a credit card. We got there about midnight and was given a room in the basement. There was no air conditioner in the room, the room had a terrible smell and I don't know what kind of mattresses they had, but they were paper thin. The manager was very nice about the whole thing and offered me a full refund, however, I had to find a hotel/motel at 1:00 in the morning for myself and four children. Finally, we got a room at the Comfort Inn for a ridiculously high price, but at that point, I had no choice but to pay for it.

Stayed there this past weekend...Was hesitiant at first when booking, however it had the best rate. When we got to the room we felt the place was better than expected. The room was nicely rennovated and the air was working. The owner/manager was very accomodating to our requests. Everything was clean! The room was very comfortable. It was nice having a fridge and microwave and GREAT TV. I would definitely stay there again! The staff was very friendly!

A very helpful staff, newly painted, new flat screen TV with cable,recent name change (?) unfortunatly fridge ( $3.00 fee ) didnt get cold until the next morning as we were leaving. Antique air conditioner couldn't keep up with the muggyness outside, so didn't get much sleep due to the warmth in the room.The pool looked nice, and we got some discount tickets for restaraunts in the area. New owners should get some time for improvements,so give 'em a chance in a while....also bring a clock or radio since none was provided..
