“Hard to find, but worth it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012 via mobile

Stayed here on a business trip and was pleased to find the hotel lived up to my past experiences with the brand. But it isn't easy to find. My GPS couldn't locate the hotel using the given street address and the hotel web site's own directions were terribly confusing. I had to stop at another hotel to get directions! Once having arrived however, I asked for a room on the 5th floor-in the back- as other travelers had suggested. Smart move: the view of the valley is wonderful! The receptionist was welcoming, thanking me for choosing the hotel and for being a platinum member of the chain loyalty club. The kitchen is a plus since I travel alone and don't particularly enjoy eating out by myself. Room is clean; bed is comfortable; TV has adequate selection and good reception; WiFi connection is satisfactory-and free. All in all I think this hotel-and other Candlewood Suites-offer good value for money.

“Very nice place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

It was very nice stay with my dog. Reasonable price for pet fee, $10. Room was very large, nice and clean, well equipped. Just hard to find the entrance of the hotel, otherwise we will stay this hotel again.

“Great Place If You Can Find It”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2011

Despite Google directions & directions from Suites' confirmation, we still had to stop in nearby Turkey Hill gas station for directions and they never heard of it! Not one single sign on highway, exit or near entrance indicating where it was. Had to call lobby from Turkey Hill and finally got directions from hotel clerk.

Once there, however, our four day stay was pleasant, clean & very, very quiet. One thing to remember about residence-related hotels such as this which we weren't aware of beforehand: housekeeping is only done once a week; towels must be 'exchanged' for new ones when needed.

Nice fridge w/icemaker; micro; two burner stovetop, dishes, pots, pans and all utensils; coffeemaker; hairdryer, iron, etc. Huge closet. Nice tv but very limited channels. Good Internet connection but don't depend on computer and printer in lobby. Very slow. Complimentary use of washer dryer. Just need to supply your own detergent which can be purchased in their "cupboard". Nicely remodeled. Good beds. Exercise room leaves a lot to be desired. Two treads and couple of other units. Not too airy. Little "odiferous".

Ask for room on 5th floor, remembering that the way building is configured, lobby is on fourth floor and bottom three floors are below grade and only face rear. Top rooms have beautiful view of valley. Again...very quiet. Saved on breakfast & dinners by eating in. Do Internet search for nearby supermarkets since only closest one is small and limited in supplies. But quaint and doable in a pinch. Would definitely stay again either here or any other Candlewood Suite. Less likely to have to put up with overnight party-goers/ wedding guests and lots of families w/noisy kids at one of these places. Mostly business people, older travelers and laborers. All folks who value quiet and a good rest. Could be just a "tad" cheaper though. Maybe by $5 -$10 or so considering you've got to make your own bed and exchange those coveted linens yourself.

Room Tip: Top floor in rear away from elevator if possible. Remember, fourth floor is lobby floor.

“Awesome Room, $10 pet Fee & Great View”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 November 2011

We shose this hotel for one BIG reason...they only have a $10 non refundable pet fee vs. the $75 or $100 ones you find at most hotels anddddd the room was only $90 a night. I was a bit hesitant as it was a stopover hotel for us on our way to upstate NY but boy did it surprise us, Also it is RIGHT off 81 so we didn't have to go off track. We Loved It and will totally stay there again. We got to the hotel very late but there was no problem checking in with our pet and the room was AMAZING it had a mini kitchen, bathroom, desk area and bed now don't get me wrong the rooms are still small but what do you need a huge hotel room for any way? Everything seemed new and was very very clean. We went right to bed as it was late and woke up early when the sun was coming up looked out our window and WOW there was quite the view. I hadn't asked for a room facing the mountains but I highly suggest asking if you can get one because for a logn road trip that was a nice little view to start off the day! Overall I'd say this hotel was AWESOME and our dog Jeter gives it two paws up!

“Perfect in every way”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 October 2011

I have found Trip Advisor reviews very helpful in choosing hotels. I was very pleased with Candlewood Suites. The room was large, well laid out, equipped with what you need to prepare a meal in the room, and very clean.

The front staff were friendly and very helpful. I was having a problem connecting to the wireless and they provided me with a number to call for technical service and it was rectified immediately.

The view from our room was nothing short of spectacular.
