“Out of the box”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2011

We were looking for something a little bit original and we found it at East Shore Lodging. We stayed in the Delaware room, which had fantastic character and plenty of room to move around. We got some great advice on things to see and do at the front desk and loved the friendly feeling of the place. The location was good for all of the things we wanted to do - horse riding, wildlife spotting, relaxing and good food.

Such a great place with a view of the lake. Rooms were immaculate, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fabulous. The gift shop is so cute. I'd definitely stay here again and again!!

“Great find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 September 2011

My daughter and I stayed 2 nights and found the staff very pleasant, the room very large, the hotel very clean and the beds very comfy. Great little gift shop too! Breakfast was nothing fancy but very convenient not to have to search for coffee and food in the morning. A good deal!

“Fine, but not perfect”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 August 2011

We chose the hotel from the internet, and we loved the "hunter's cabin" style. This is exactly what we got. The room was large and quiet. The breakfast was also nice, with a lot of choice. On the downside: the internet was not usable (too slow and sometimes off), and we stayed 4 nights without our soap and shampoo being replaced. But overall, we had a pleasant stay.

Thank you for staying with us! Glad you liked your room and breakfast. Sorry that your internet connection wasn't consistent. The room that you were staying in has a weak signal to the router as there is a concrete firewall in between that room and the office (where the router is located). Because it is a popular room, many of our guests opt to come up to the breakfast room when they need to get on the internet. Apologies for not explaining that to you upon check-in. As for the soaps, our Sprout line is very popular and we can understand why you wanted it replaced.. we get requests all the time to purchase some of it to take home. We look forward to seeing you when your travels bring you to the Pocono Mountains again.

“Comfortable inn, great location”

Our weekend getaway with another couple was a last minute idea and almost every place was booked. We searched on-line and found East Shore, they had two rooms and we booked them. (It was parents weekend at many of the area overnight camps so rooms were scarce.) East Shore was immaculate! The service was friendly, efficient. THe rooms are a riot-very "North Country" decor-exactly as presented on their web site. This laid-back, family owned and run spot is in a great location-right across from the Lake, near wonderful restaurants and fabulous ice cream right next door!
