I've stayed at this comfort in. A few times but this past stay was beyond terrible. We arrived and checked into our room only to find that it reeked of cigarette smoke. The hotel is 100% smoke free. The girls at the front desk kindly switched us to a new room a few doors down. However, once in the room we learned that the toilet was inoperable. We tried to fix it ourselves but figured out we couldn't. We requested that the toilet be fixed because we didn't want to switch to another room. The service man never showed but luckily a friend of ours who was also staying at the comfort inn, was able to fix it. Later on in the night, the smell of cigarette smoke seeped into our room. The ice machine on both the first and second floor didn't work. The second floor also reeked of pot. The previous stays here were decent, but after this stay I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I had to visit Harrisburg for a conference and this place was recommended by someone familiar with the city.

First off, it is located next door to a fabulous Indian restaurant. I wished I could've had a party there with my friends from home!

Secondly, it's right by a walking path near the river. I went for a walk every day. It was lovely.

Third, the staff is super nice and gracious.

Finally, it seemed to have been recently redecorated. No stains or the usual ghastly design choices. Yay!

My only complaint is it was kind of hard to walk to. I came in on Amtrak and the sidewalks from the train station kept terminating abruptly. But that's not the motel's fault...

From the moment we walked into the lobby, we were greeted with friendly staff and and pleasant atmosphere. Our room was spacious, clean, and efficient. We were not bothered by hallway noise or neighboring rooms. Our weekend stay was quiet, pleasant, and I highly recommend the Comfort Inn. It is just three blocks away from Dodge City USA Restaurant which has become our favorite place to visit.

Everything that others said about the place is true It is well run, and in a great location. Book a room with two queen beds as you get the great view of the river. The place has been renovated. There are minor markings here and there at the hotel, but it is busy, and overall the place is in great shape considering its age. The beds were comfortable. I will return no question.
