This is a nearly 40 year old property, built in the old style with very large conference rooms, lots of unused space, etc. I'm not sure when it was last renovated, but there comes a point when renovations don't matter. You can see the paint, on top of the paint, on top of the chipped paint, etc. The hallway rugs are tired and worn and everything just needs to be upgraded. I don't know how much longer this is a viable property before it's either razed and rebuilt or sold to a lower level hotel chain.
I attended a dance competition at the location and stayed overnight. The food is horrific. I know multiple people who returned meals. Garbage cans were overflowing and not emptied. I normally do not stay at Holiday Inn, I'm a Hilton traveler, but was in a pinch and had to stay. It reminds me why I usually do not stay at Holiday Inns.
