Definitely some bad things about this hotel . Got a room through priceline . Only hotel that has also charged my credit card for the room as well as priceline . I did get the charge off after some phone calls . When we got there & were given a room we went to the room it was only partly cleaned & it was late at night . 2.other people had the same problem . We finally got a room & it was good & clean .

Upon checkin the staff was not as professional as I would have liked. The hotel is in a bit of a shady area. The parking lot could be better lit. The room was clean, the wifi was very fast and strong. The television selection was great. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were small and could be replaced. The hotel did not recognize me as a Wyndham Rewards member. I didn't partake in the breakfast. The bathroom was clean and spacious. I didn't encounter any pests or rodents. I didn't use the hot tub or the fitness center. There were a few blemishes in my room, but nothing that took away from my experience. I would have like to have used the business center to finish up some paperwork, but it was being utilized by the staff to check facebook. I would return to the hotel.

We are regular travellers and we just stayed at this hotel over the last weekend. I can't believe some of the bad reviews that have been written about this hotel and I am glad we took a chance and stayed here despite reading some of these unfavorable reviews. Our stay was excellent and very pleasant. When we checked in at the registration counter and asked for additional blankets and pillows for our children, they arrived at our room even before we reached our room. The service was amazing! What amazed us most was when we put up a "do not disturb" sign on our second last day of stay while we were out as we were packing and did not want maid service. When we got back, we were impressed that a package was placed outside our door comprising fresh new sheets, towels and toiletries! Such a level of service for the price and star level of our hotel was truly amazing...this should be a higher rated hotel or graded a higher star level. The room was also large and clean, had everything we needed (microwave, fridge, flat screen TV, etc). We could not have asked for more...

I recently spent 3 nights at the Wingate with a friend. When we first arrived we were given a room with a king size bed. When my friend asked if they had a room with 2 beds the attendant seemed surprise that the room she'd given us only had one bed. Fortunately they had a room available with 2 beds which was fine. The bed wasn't that comfortable. The mattress was really soft. The bedding wasn't that great either. Overall the room was ok.

A big issue I had was both days after we left our room to go downstairs our room keys no longer worked. The first day I had to go down to the front desk twice to have the problem fixed. The staff wasn't at all apologetic about the situation.

The breakfast was ok. It's about what you'd expect for a free breakfast. Breakfast was from 6 - 9 so I thought the cut off was a little early.

We used the hot tub one day. The chlorine was really bad. Just be aware. I didn't find the tub to be dirty as previous reviews suggest.

Unless I could find a better deal and I was going back to Harrisburg I would stay here again. The hotel was in a great location close to the turnpike and major highways. Lots of restaurants nearby.
