We wanted to visit Presque Isle State Park and found GRI on line and booked after reading all good reviews. Nice clean room with frig,micro,small table and two chairs, and two double beds.The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but there is a wonderfull one next door Crowleys we got great seafood there,and the service was great. We spent two nights and slept well in this clean,quiet, hotel, it is a older hotel but well taken of and located in a country setting. The staff was friendly and helpfull,our room was cleaned and straightened up each day . There are picnic tables,grills,and a firering and free wood for the fire provided by the hotel. Nice clean laid back place to rest. Presque Isle State Parks beach and the area all around Lake Erie is great place to vacation there are water parks,gulf,amusments,campgrounds,lighthouses,vineyards,and much more . All right here in our beautfull state of Pennsylvania, forget the sea shore and go to the beach at Presque Isle State Park and if you want a clean affordable place to stay check in at the Green Roof Inn you'll be glad you did. The whole stay here couldn't have been easier. I was looking for somewhere near Girard to stay in with my dog, and from the pictures on their website it could've gone either way. After reading all of the great reviews I decided to book a room. The reservations process was very easy, the staff was extremely friendly, and the room was nothing special but it was nice and clean. It was very quiet. Overall it was a great value for the price and I would definitely stay here again.

I was driving from the eastern- Southern Tier of NY to Ohio when all of a sudden I couldn't see anything ahead of me-- lots and lots of fast-moving snow. I got nervous and realized I couldn't continue my trip so I pulled over at the nearest exist to look for a m/hotel and found this one. I am normally weary of motels but I was desperate-- the friendly lady at the front desk was able to quickly find me a room-- 1 bed, non-smoking, for $57. The fact that there was a bed under a roof-- and for relatively cheap, sounded perfect.

My room was located next door-- so I had to get back on the main road. Since about a foot of snow had dropped probably within that past hour, nothing was plowed-- so luckily I have AWD. Nevertheless-- when I got into my room I was very pleasantly surprised-- it was clean, didn't smell of smoke, and even had a little kitchen area.

I normally feel nervous about staying in a room that opens right up to the parking lot area-- but I felt safe here-- there is a key card entrance, unlike other motels I've stayed at which had difficult to use keys.

We go to Columbus, Ohio every year and always stay at least one or two nights near Erie, PA. We have stayed at this motel at least six different times since it was built and have never had a complaint. Considering the price for the quality and size of the room, I can live with driving to the main building for my ice and my continental breakfast. We dealt with three different employees this year and all three of them were courteous and friendly.This year we drove to Columbus early in the morning and returned that night to our same room and it was worth all the driving.
