When opening door to room 316 we were blasted with hot air. Thermostat said it was 84 degrees. Thermostat controls did not work. Windows do not open. Tried to put heater/air conditioner under window on high-cool but nothing would work. Notified front desk and she came to room but could only agree that nothing could be made to work. We were offered a room next door and when we went there to check it out we found this room to be absolutely frigid. Again, nothing would work. Could not get heater to turn on. Girl on front desk was embarased and brought up a very small portable plug-in box heater. Should have left at that point, but it was very late at night so we decided to stay, take hot shower and get under covers. Mistake! Bed had no top sheet or blankets. Just an undersize comforter of some sort, too small for bed. Nothing tucked in. I am only 5'10" and if I pulled this thing up around my neck it would not keep my feet and legs covered & warm. Visa Versa. No blankets in room either & this is January?? Complained to desk but was told that this is the new way that Wyndham is making beds. Dumb!! O by the way, bottom 6" of shower curtain had hair & black gunk entire length of it. Front of frame under sink had visable sticky substance on it. Our schedule was packed full the next day with no time to hunt for other accomodations so we had to endure this room for one more night. Flushing toilet was unbelievably loud & bathroom fan was auto on with light & very loud growling sound & it did nothing to remove steam. Have stayed in several Wyndham facilities before with great results. This facility is maybe not managed very well and is in serious need of updating. Will never stay at this facility again & will not stay at any Wyndham in the future that prepares beds without sheets & blankets.
