My family and I stayed at this hotel while we were in town for my Grandmother's funeral. When we first arrived I called the front desk to get the pillows exchanged because there was a down pillow on my bed. The lady at the front desk argued with me that all their pillows were down alternative, and that I need not worry if it was an allergy. I told her that I could see actual feathers on the pillow case. She begrudgingly sent someone up after the argument to exchange my pillows. Should I have had to argue? My husband and I woke up our first morning there, sore in every spot you can imagine. I considered sleeping on the floor at several points in the night, just to try to get rest. The wait staff are amazingly cheerful, sweet, and eager to please. Their GM is the exact opposite. She asked about the quality of our stay and we told her the bed was terrible. She replied to us that most people LOVE their beds, and that all the beds in the hotel were the same. I wish she would have been more willing to accommodate us. Perhaps keep some memory foam toppers on hand in the facility for those that find their beds to be uncomfortable. It was insulting to me that her only suggestion was to provide us with a roll-away bed. They offered us no discount, and no alternatives. You can stay elsewhere in downtown Philly for about the same price, and get much better service. We left the hotel after 2 nights of horror, and moved to the Sofitel in Philadelphia. Same price, and MUCH better beds and service.
