“So-so”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

King bed was nice comfortable and room was clean. Was talked into the room over the phone because it had a king and a pull out sofa bed that "pulls out onto a queen". That was not true. It was barely a full and was so warn down that you basically laid on bars and springs. It was awful! Breakfast was good! Other than the sofa bed, it was alright. Would definitely spend the extra $ to get a hotel attached to Splash Lagoon next time.

Room Tip: Don't count the sofa bed as a bed!!!

“Good Hotel with a few flaws”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2012

Generally, this is a fine hotel. There are though a few specific things that management needs to address.

First let me say that overall this is a fine hotel for a nights (or a couple) stay. Generally clean and pretty. Rooms slightly better than basic with microwaves and refrigerators.

Now, for the complaints. The hottub in the pool area was a bit cool. The thermometer said that it was only 100F. Should be about 104F. Yes, those four degrees matter. It is the difference between HOT and luke warm.

I had a large bath tub in my room. Very nice. But it was a bit dirty with stray hairs in it.

The most painful flaw was the poor Wi-Fi. The connection dropped down to 1Mbps connection speed. VERY slow. Unacceptable. Sometimes, it would just drop me.

Everything else about this hotel was fine, very satisfying. Btu these other concerns do need to be addressed.

Room Tip: Rooms with large jacuzzi tubs are available.

“Clean Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 December 2011

At this price range, no one is expecting nice decor, but just friendly and clean facility and this exactly what you would get from this hotel.

We stayed there for our Splash Lagoon trip to Erie. This hotel has hot breakfast and that was a very nice surprise. We were expecting just cold muffins, bagels and bread, but they actually provided sausages and eggs you can heat up in microwave and waffles.

The room was a bit old, but good enough. If we were going to stay in a hotel for prolonged period of time we would probably choose something else but just to sleep, it was good enough.

My wife complained about the quality of the mattress, and pillow. Yes, they could have provided something better, and they should. Maybe that's something they should look into, because it can be done rather quickly and cheaply.

“Decent budget hotel; Other guests made it unbearable.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 December 2011

To start off with, this hotel has a very nice lobby and common area with very friendly front desk staff. There is a very small "store" in the lobby to purchase food items and the like; and while the prices are a little bit inflated, it is convenient. The interior of the common areas is relatively clean for a motel of this sort. As far as rooms go, they are decent, nothing superb, with standard beds and amenities. The bathrooms were tiny and had a slight odor of something unpleasant that couldn't be corrected. The beds were good. Finally the location is great, right on Peach Street and near the action; across from Splash Lagoon. The breakfast provided was poor; I would go elsewhere. However, as good as this motel was, our visit was ruined by two large groups of obnoxious guests who transversed from one room to another slamming doors and shouting at the top of their lungs. Also, one room had the smell of marijuana coming from it. We had an important competition to attend at 7:00 in the morning the next day and needed a good night's sleep; but we couldn't achieve that due to the incessant noise produced by our fellow guests. Only until the management took control did the problem cease. And I thank them for that, especially the night manager Charlie. The staff handled the problem fairly and effectively! I would go back again, hoping that I can actually enjoy my stay without obnoxious guests. I would recommend.

Room Tip: Make sure to request adjoining rooms if needed!

“Never stay here”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 November 2011

This hotel smelled of smoke as soon as you entered. The staff was rude and uncaring. We stayed with our 2 kids in a non-smoking room. Well thats is what we booked. Little did we know that right beside us the room was smoking, infact this floor had 13 rooms that were smoking. The smoke seeped into our room and we couldn't sleep. We couldn't understand how that made our room NON-Smoking. They must follow different regulations that i have never heard of down here!! I wouldn't let my worst enemy stay at this hole!

Room Tip: never stay here
