“Good location and adequate facilities”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

We have stayed in this motel a few times while shopping in the Erie, PA area. What is right about it is the price, particularly if you just need a place to crash for the night. There are a lot more pricier accommodations, but this one is usually more economical.

They have a good breakfast in the mornings that is included. Depending on the time of stay the breakfast area might be crowded (e.g., Black Friday).

The beds are firm and comfortable, so are the linens and pillows. The bathrooms appear to be fairly recently renovated as well. If you want more space, you could opt for a jacuzzi suite that has a separate sitting area and a jacuzzi.

The rooms have always been clean.

The TVs are the old style large TVs and reception is not very good.

There is an outdoor pool that we have used in summer. The pool was good but the water seems to be fairly cold.

As I said, if you want an upscale hotel, there are far better but pricier ones in the area. This one is located an exit away on the route to the main Peach St. shopping area in Erie. You can get there in less than 5 minutes. So, for a place to sleep and not spend all your shopping "savings" that makes it a good choice.

Room Tip: Ask for Jacuzzi suite for better room and more space.

“Not quality by any standard!”

I did not expect this to be a motel, the internet showed a rather nicely done and inviting lobby, with just a small snapshot of the rooms.
They obviously spent their money on the lobby!
This motel has no interior corridors, and went I walked upstairs to find my room, I was surprized that the curtains did not cover up the rooms. People passing by can look right into your rooms due to the large window and cheap curtains that do not cover the window entirely.
The room was so small, I barely had enough room to walk around.
But nothing prepared me for the small little bugs I found on the bathroom floor crawling around. I'm still not sure what these little bugs were, and if the whole room was infested! The carpeting and lighting in this cheap little motel was too dark to see more!
Needless to say, I could not get a refund so I packed up and went to another hotel.
DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! IT IS NOT CLEAN OR SAFE! IT IS TUCKED BACK BEHIND A GAS STATION IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE RIGHT NEXT TO A MOTEL 8; WHICH ACTUALLY LOOKED CLEANER AND NICER THAT THE QUALITY INN!
I guess it just goes to show you can't always tell a good hotel from their website. When I clicked on customer reviews, oddly enough it stated they could not access the information at this time.

Room Tip: Always try to read customer reviews before booking a room!

“An average stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 November 2011

Stayed here for only one night and glad it wasn't for a longer stay. The staff were nice and the room was a great size (2 queen beds), beds are comfy and the bathroom was a good size and had great water pressure from the shower but my only complaint is that the walls are very thin. Soooo thin that although there are only 2 floors and although we were on the second floor, we could clearly hear the people beside and below us. Didn't make for a great nights sleep.

“If you are traveling with a pet like we were, be prepared.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 November 2011 via mobile

We called them in the afternoon to make a reservation. The first thing I said is we have a dog! No problem the young man said, we have plenty of room you don't need a reservation. When we got there about 8 pm, tired from driving in the rain, there were no more pet rooms left. So instead of the $25 fee, which by the way was the highest we paid in a 6 night trip, it was $45 for our dog. Since we had no choice we paid it. The hotel was ok, although I have never seen such a tiny bathroom in my life.

“This is a motel, plain and simple”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2011

While this property is branded "Quality Inn & Suites", it really has the feel of old motel. The rooms are tired and dated with black spots in the corners. Burn holes from cigarettes in the blankets. Poor water pressure in the shower. The heater/AC in the room is extremely loud... bring earplugs.

However, the Wi-Fi worked great across the property. The restaurant onsite has decent food. The breakfast is okay, but come early to get a seat and enjoy the best selection of food. My biggest complaint with the property is the price... for what you get, this property is almost criminally overpriced. It is a motel - an old one at that - and should be priced accordingly.
