“EDINBORO INN SCHEDULED TO BE RAZED”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 December 2011

Word is that the once popular, well-managed Edinboro Inn is scheduled to soon be razed in order to make the 10 acres available for purchase to an interested buyer. Property to remain zoned for another hotel.

It was ordered to close about a year and a half or so ago due to structural concerns.

Back in the 1970s and 1980s, it was a very popular, well-maintained facility. Great entertainment on the weekends, good food, good service. Back in the day when Mel Dauchenbach was the Inn Keeper and it was part of the Holiday Inn family.

“Haunted House theme..”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 May 2010

Ok so this place needs to be taken off the internet and earth. My husband and I booked a room at this hotel when the place where our military ball was being held had no rooms left. We arrived and found the place in shambles to say the least. The parking lots looked like a war zone. The windows had "posted" signs all over..The front doors were chained. The windows were all hazy looking from the outside, so I assume if we did get in we would have never been able to see the sunlight. Needless to say when we got there we called the number we had booked our room with and low and behold no one answered. We tried 3 different numbers and no one seemed to want to answer any of them. Probably because the place had been condemned. So if you find a nice place online that is called the Edinboro Inn, located on Plum Street, move onto another hotel. This one does not exist...I haven't been charged for the room, but you can be sure the BBB will be hearing about this....

“Run Away”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 March 2010

We booked a room here site unseen after XC skiing in the area. We walked in and the lobby ceiling was dripping water into pans on the floor. PE sheet was draped over half the room to deflect the rest. The hotel reeked of mildew and rot. We asked to see a room and with one look we ran way - stains, mold and stench permiated the room. Other than the two staff members, I think me may have been to only other car in the lot. This place should be bulldozed - there is nothing useable.

“Checked in and left in under an hour”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2009

This place is absolutely the most disgusting place I have ever been in, I made the mistake of checking in, then willingly ran. I would not let my family stay here and willingly gave up my $$ as a lesson learned. The pool roof is collapsing, the water drained with brown/green walls. Checked in during a rainstorm and it was raining inside the 2nd floor as well. Horrible mold smell throughout the building. They have no concept of building maintenance, it should have been torn down years ago.

“What a Pig Sty”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 July 2009

Driving up the driveway was like driving through a mine field. I was ecxhausted and wnet straight to bed. In the morning I discovered mouse droppings on the window sill along with hundreds of dead insects. The toilet was all rusted and the place stunk.

The wireless internet did not work in the room and half the channels were locked out. When I tried to call the forn desk, I let the phone ring for 5 minutes and no one picked up.

The continental breakfast looked like it came from another continent.

This is hte worst hotel I have ever stayed in . Stay away!!!!
