Let me start my review by stating that my expectations were not that high considering this is a 2 star hotel on Priceline. The pictures on trip advisor must have been taken 20 years ago. We attempted to check in at 4:30pm and were told by the clerk that there were no rooms ready with two double beds. We had requested a king prior to our visit and that was noted on our account. When we arrived we were told that we had to pay more for a king. $120 more per night!. That room we were told was ready, of course. Above the clerk's head was a large sign reading, "Check in 3:00pm". My husband is diabetic and needed to give himself his shot. The management would not budge and made us wait over an hour while the double room was cleaned. That was our first taste of this poorly run hotel.

We drove around to our room (we were advised that rooms in the back were quieter because of a noisy bar in the front). The hotel has not been painted and the doors looked weathered and worn, the curtains hanging askew....but who cares if the room is clean...right??

The room itself looked ok...until I got to the bathroom. The tub looked as if someone took a wire brush and scraped the whole bottom....the nonslip tape put down years and years ago was peeling off and the "jacuzzi" jets were rusty...you would have to be crazy to get into this disgusting tub and turn on electricity!!! I took my shower standing on a towel and trying not to gag.

We slept late the next morning and got out of our room around noon when we took the "Do not disturb" sign down. When we returned to our room late that evening the room had not been cleaned! No towels, the garbage overflowing, etc. We called the desk and were told that the room was not cleaned because the "Do not disturb" sign had been up at 11:30am. Does that mean that your room will not be cleaned?? Remember that when we arrived they were still cleaning rooms at 5pm!

Stay away!! This place is horrible and I would NEVER recommend it to anyone! The staff were less than helpful and the management should be ashamed. The nicest person was the maintenance man who brought us towels and took out our garbage at 2:00am. There's another Days Inn in the next town and plenty of budget hotels in the area...maybe they are better!

So convenient to so many attractions. Newly renovated also. Note that the indoor pool can only be accessed by going outside, so if its the winter, that might be a problem.

The days Inn in East Stroudsburg is total CRAP first off my new socks that were white turned black when I walked across the room the breakfast was a step down from continental breakfast and was the worst continental breakfast I have ever seen It was a few muffins, and 3 cereals, some fruit, (that was going stale) with coffee and juice. The rooms were filthy and the staff was rude, The pool was the worst indoor pool ever you have to walk out of your room (it was about 22 degrees out) and go up a staircase to go into the pool that was in a sun room My kids almost FROZE especially when we went back to the room. If you are thinking of going to the days inn east stroudsburg then THINK AGAIN!!!!!!!!

Stayed there for two nights just to treat myself and it was well worth it I will definitely be back again very soon staff was very helpful room was very clean I wish I was able to extend my stay love it loved it loved it will definitely be back - Rachel M.
