“Pleasantly surprised”

Even after reading the positive reviews here I didn't have high expectations. I'm happy to say I need not have worried.
I was nicely greeted upon arrival. The lobby area was decorated with Christmas trees (this stay was during the week before Christmas) giving it a festive atmosphere. The check-in was done quickly. There was a service man there replacing the old televisions with new LCD ones. Since I was in early he kindly asked whether I would want the one in my room replaced right away. This was done within 15 minutes. No high def available yet though.
The room was a fair size with a small fridge and microwave in working order. I found it all clean as well as the bathroom. The bed was comfortable. Although my room was on the 1st floor near the lobby, I found it quiet except the heating unit was a little noisy. The breakfast area was quite large and the food offered was good.
All in all a relaxing stay with great value.

If your ever in the Lancaster Pennsylvania area and plan on staying at a hotel, I strongly recommend the Denver, PA Comfort Inn Of Lancaster County North. It's located approximately 15 miles from the Park City Mall in Lancaster, PA. (1 Denver Road, Exit 286, PA Turnpike, Denver,PA or RT.30 East from Lancaster to PA Turnpike exit, Left at first light, then straight ahead on right. The rooms are clean and smell nice. The area is quiet enough at night to help you get a good nites rest. They have a nice cocktail area close to the main lobby area. They have happy hour prices for cocktails, but I must say their regular cocktail prices are decent. If your there, please say hi to Lisa (Bartender). Lisa will greet you with a warm happy smile always. She loves to socialize if your looking to speak about meaningful intellegent topics. She is very down to earth and will just sit and tend to you if relaxing is what you want. Cayla checked us in the last time we were there. I hope I spelled her name right. Cayla is also a warm friendly person to speak with. I mentioned to her that we forgot to pack toothpaste and a razor, which was not an issue because Cayla graciously gave us these items. Another very nice person named Joanne will assist you there also, if you check in early in the day. Joanne I think operates this hotel and a great job she does. They have a nice continental breakfast set up, for those of you who enjoy having breakfast. Thanks for taking care of us and thanks for letting us share our experiences at your hotel. See you soon!!!

Room Tip: Back rooms are the best.

“Local Kindness”

As one of the thousands of local residents affected by the power outage resulting from the late October snowstorm, I too was forced to seek lodging at a nearby hotel. I would like to commend the management and staff at the Comfort Inn of Lancaster/Denver for their generosity and kindness extended to the area "storm victims." Because of the uncertainty of the circumstances (i.e. not knowing when power would be restored), they allowed much flexibility in when we could check in/out. Additionally, and most generously, they offered their rooms to local residents at a discounted price ... a much appreciated gesture in light of an already stressful situation. Even though my priority was not the aesthetics of the accomodations (I was more concerned about just having a warm place to sleep & a hot bath!), I must say that I was very impressed with the room's decor and comfort ... any traveler would be pleased to stay here.

Again, a big THANK YOU to Sherry (the Inn's General Manager) and her staff!!!

“Helping Your Community In Time of Need”

In October we were camping when out of the blue, literally, we were in the middle of a snow storm. The snow was so heavy it was putting a real strain on the trees at the campground. We also lost electricity. For our own safety,we, along with the other campers were advised not to spend the night at the campground. The Comfort Inn in Denver PA gave a special rate to the residents of their community who had no electric or heat, and they included us as part of their community. We were very grateful for their help. They know the true meaning of doing what they could to help their community.

Thank You ! From some happy campers.

“great staff”

Due to early winter storm that hit the area my elderly mother was out of power and phone service for 8 days. We moved her into the hotel since my family was also in the same boat. The staff quickly realized she needed some extra help and step in. They check on her during the day, helped her with breckfast and countless other little things. I can't tell you how much that helped me when I was at work or at home. Talk about customer service!! In addition the hotel offered displaced area residence a discount rate which helped me afford to take care of mother that week. I can't say thank you enough.
