I would just like to warn anyone thinking of having an event in this place. The service is absolutly horrible and the mangement is even worse. No one greeted my guests as they arrived and directed them to go. Waitstaff uniforms were flitly and impossible to get a cup of coffee and I was the one paying the bill for the event...I had to ask 3 times for coffee. Also the favors I provided for my guests were hanging out of their back pockets and worse of all we were contracted till 5:00 but at 4:00 the waitstaff cleared everything in the dining room and then started removing linens while some of my guest were still there. I was absolutley mortified. Their are so many other things that happened that I just don't have time to get into but when I addressed this to management I finally got a response with him basically saying that this never happens and if it did he is sorry....real professional. I also sent a complaint to the owner and heard nothing back from him. There is a huge lack of professionalism and the place is actually very ran down and could definaltly use renovations....I would never even think of staying in this place very creepy.

I stayed over during the memorial holiday, and I wasn't totally happy with my stay. There was a huge wedding celebration, so it was noisy. There are no elevators, so I had to lug up my heavy bags up the third floor. The room's door had a lot of scratches, so it looked like it can use a paint job. The room wasn't really furnished nicedly. It was quite barren, just a bed, tv, lamp, lamp table and chair, no phones. The main lobby was dark and dingy looking. It really needed a face lift. When I walked in, I expected a lovely lobby that is on par with the lovely grounds of the "country club" setting. Wow, was I surprised. In fact, much of the place had this dusty look about it. Breakfast was buffet style. The cook was very nice, but the waitress looked like she was very bored and wanted to be somewhere else. The front desk was nice and accommodating, and the golf grounds were very lovely. The building needed paint and work.

A friend of mine invited Me to a golfouting weekend at the Country Club back in 2005 and have been going there every year since.What a great place for a reasonable price.Now I run a golfouting there every year to raise money for our baseball and softball league in town.The owners and staff are the best people you will find anywhere.The starter and the crew are top notch golf guys and the clubs pro is the best pro you'll find in P.A
The building it self is old but well kept.The rooms are very comfortable and clean.The Restaurant is also great,have'nt had a bad meal yet.My wife and I go up a day before to relax and enjoy a day together She loves it there too.I would absolutely recomend this place to anyone.

Located right by the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, WGCC is ideally located as a home base for outdoor activities: leaf peeping, hiking, and the other activities available in the area. (For shoppers, the large Crossings Factory Outlets is less than half an hour away.) A small place, it has decent-sized rooms and a nice restaurant & bar. "Stay and Play" packages are available for those who enjoy golf. They also have a good-sized outdoor pool (closed for the season when we were there).

We took advantage of their Weekend Getaway package, which offered a Friday & Saturday night stay, dinners (entree up to $18.95) and breakfasts (buffet, with eggs/omelettes to order) for a very reasonable $289 per couple. (Available Oct-April only; greens fees are extra.) The weekend included a cooking show Friday evening offered by the club's chef, and a murder mystery Saturday evening (using us guests as the characters). The cooking show was very good (and samples of the food were passed out to all of us). The murder mystery was fair, but it did encourage more interaction between the guests than normally happens in a hotel.

Beds were OK but not ideal. No bathrooms include tubs; the manager explained that it's an old building (clearly many of the rooms did not have private baths when first built). Rooms are not handicap-accessible; all are on the 2nd and 3rd floors, with no elevator. The biggest problem is that the club rents out its hall for parties and receptions, and the sound is very present in one's room. (And annoyingly, one must walk through the hall to get to and from one's room.) However, they strictly enforced an 11 PM curfew on the Saturday night party, after which the place was peaceful. Meals were very good.

Overall, we found it a great getaway, at an excellent price, and plan to return.
