We heard this hotel running local radio ads for a $199/night weekend stay for any weekend in February so we decided to take advantage. The rate included a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries delivered to your room.
After we checked in the gentlemen who checked us in came around the counter to hand us our keys and show us where the elevators were located, as some other have mentioned.
We had to swipe our room key to be able to access our floor, but only one of the two keys worked. When we got to the room, we confirmed that only one of the two keys would open the door. We stopped by the front desk and the staff said the key was coded correctly, but they re-coded it, and it worked thereafter.
The king room was spacious and clean, though a bit smaller than some of the newer "suite" hotels we've stayed in.
The pool area was clean, and the room temperature nice and warm. The pool could have been a degree or two warmer, but wasn't by any means cold. We were disappointed that they did not have a spa/hot tub available.
We stopped by for a drink and snack in the hotel restaurant. It was a little weird because there were no other diners present. The food was decent, but a bit on the pricey side. My beer glass had some food particles around the rim, and I had to get a replacement. The server was attentive and friendly.
The special offered late-checkout but were up fairly early, and were out by 10am.
Overall it was a pleasant stay. We would stay here again.
