“"Express" done right!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 June 2011

Great stay!
Looks and feels brand new, but it is 4 years old. Very well managed and staffed. Way better that average free breakfast.
Finding this one may be tricky. There are two Cranberry, PA's. This one is near the corner of PA 257 and PA 322 and may be listed as Oil City - Franklin. And "Singh Drive" was built with the hotel. So, it may not be in your GPS. The Holiday Inn 800 Number staff was confused, too.

Room Tip: Nothing to fear at this location.

“Very Comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 November 2010

The hotel seems brand new.Very clean, very comfortable. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. The beds were extremely comfortable, like sleeping on a pillow. Internet is free. The rooms are quiet. Breakfast is typical of a holiday inn. I would stay here again if on business in Cranberry. I can't imagine any other reason to stay in the area.

“Nice, clean hotel, but would not stay again”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 September 2010

This is a brand new property, and is very clean. The beds and pillows are super comfortable, but that was about the only enjoyable thing here.

Our room upon arrival was damp from the outside humidity - I guess they don't keep the a/c on when the room isn't occupied (understandably) - after a very long drive to the property, sleeping in damp sheets and on damp pillows wasn't exactly the best way to end a 7 hour journey. The TV is a little rinky dink 27 inch tubed tv - the property should invest in some flat screens.

The floors are very thin, and we were awakened each morning by the people walking around above us. Ask for the 3rd floor if you stay here so you can actually sleep.

When we booked, we booked a suite because there was 4 of us - the suite gave 2 queen beds, and a pull out - only upon arrival were we informed of the $10 charge per night extra that had to be paid because there was more then 2 people staying in the room. Nowhere on our online reservation was this stated. Why would we book a suite with 3 beds for 2 ppl? When we asked why this was, the front desk attendant merely answered "oh, just cause we are different from other Holiday Inn Hotels." We weren't impressed solely out of principle - it seemed like one of those charges that are thrown at you and as a traveler, you feel that you have to pay it. You pay it because you can't get your money back for the reservation, and you're exhausted from travelling. It makes you feel like you're being tricked.

The hot breakfast in the morning was a nice touch, but some more healthy options should be available.

Outside of a huge Wal-Mart, you have to drive a bit to find restaurants, etc - as this area is in development, I'm sure in a couple of years there will be plenty more to do in this area - it is very easy to get this address mixed up with Cranberry Township which is closer (I think) to Pittsburgh - be sure (if using your GPS with maps older then 2 years) that you call the hotel and get an address from them to put in your GPS so you end up in the right place.

All in all, this is a new property - they have growing pains that they hopefully will work out. If I had to stay here again, I would (I just didn't like the location because it felt like we were literally in the middle of nowhere), but next time, I will pay the extra money to be closer to the areas and reasons for my trips to PA (shopping) - I ended up paying extra anyhow with the hidden "extra people in the room" charge.

I would recommend this hotel to a friend if they were driving through and needed a place to stay before continuing on their journey the next day.

We appreciate your comment regarding our hotel that it's very clean, new and nicest in the area. Sorry about the mix up, but It's not hotel's fault if there are 2 Cranberrys in PA. We have listed our hotel under franklin-oil city area to eliminate confusion. We exist on map quest and on GPS (if it's up to date).

Price is the same for single or double occupancy (kids stay for free). It's $10 extra for every extra person after that. There are lots of people they like to stay in a suite even though they are traveling alone because they want the extra space and nicer sitting area. It's very clear on our website under RESERVATION PRICE DETAILS extra person charge per night $10.00 after double occupancy.

If there is a problem with your stay at our hotel, please do not leave our property without speaking to manager on duty. We strive for excellent customer service, and our goal is that every guest leaves satisfied.

“Excellent service, cleanliness, friendly staff...Highly recommend”

This was our second time staying here in the honeymoon suite. We celebrated our second anniversary here as well as staying here on our wedding night. The room was very clean and tidy. The reception even brought up a corkscrew for us so we could drink our wine. It has a very nice jacuzzi. The bed and pillows were so soft and comfy. We had a very nice hot breakfast buffet. We went to our car when we were leaving and our car battery was dead. The receptionist came out with her car and gave us a jump. We highly recommend this hotel.

“Nice place, very good service”

Stayed here several times in the past and the hotel is always very clean and the front desk has been very helpful. The free bottles of water, cookies and pretzels are a nice touch when you travel.
