This is a typical Hampton Inn property off a busy interstate. The hotel is situated up on a hill off of the I-80 exit directly adjacent to a Comfort Inn. During my stay, I found the hotel to be fairly quiet and clean. I did not experience any issues with my room, aside from the fact that the desk chair was dirty and half of the room had a perpetual smell of popcorn from the in-room microwave. The Internet, however, was quite slow (both wireless and wired), which made working and surfing the Internet a challenge. The breakfast offerings were not anything special and were, again, typical Hampton. Nearby there is a Lowe's, a Walmart, an Arby's, and a KFC/Taco Bell. The Walmart has a Subway inside of it. Kind of a desolate area.

Staying here right now as we speak. Already attracted athletes foot from the shower. A friend of mine stayed here two nights ago and payed $20 less for his room. Asked the desk person about it and she basically said oh well. She was BS'ing about guests in the breakfast area and it took her a few minutes to get to the desk... oh yeah, hardly any ever anyone at the desk. Dropped my laundry off at the front desk to be done and it stayed there for more than 12 hours with no one at the desk... so I took it back and no one ever approached me about the missing laundry. The powdered eggs were cooked poorly. The gym consists of a tread mill a bike machine, an ellipse and a TV that keeps turning on and off. The parking lot is way too small... its shared with the comfort inn. The rooms are nice and the beds are comfortable though.

We stayed here 1 night while attending the Penn State/Illinois Game. All the hotels were booked up around the college so we chose this Hampton Inn in Clearfield. It was about a 50min drive to the hotel from Penn State. The hotel was very clean. That is the most important thing to me. The front staff was very helpful. They recommended dinner options and gave us printed directions to the restaurant. Breakfast in the morning was free. It was a full hot breakfast. I thought that was an added bonus. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

We stayed at this hotel for a weekend getaway to go Elk watching in Benezette. We chose this hotel over the Holiday Inn because Hampton Inn is 100% non-smoking. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and we were pleasantly suprised to find a full size shower in the bathroom instead of a tub (when we asked about this, the staff said all king rooms have them, but other rooms do not). The bathroom was very modern- I would love to have that vanity in my house!

The only negative I had was for the breakfast they offered western omlets instead of scrambled eggs. The omlets were not good and were full of onions and peppers- limiting those who would actually eat them. But this is very minor and just a preference, so it does not detract from my 5 star rating.
