Nice hotel. They just remodeled the lobby -very nice improvement. This Hampton, while a little older, still delivers a good stay?

Stayed there jan 12-13. Arrived late. Front door entry blocked by floor tile replacement operation. No sign directing vehicles to the rear. Rear door locked. Two minutes until someone opened rear door. Room was nice but received two bed bug bites that night. Very annoying; still itchy 4 days later. Breakfast in morning could not be accessed from front door despite assurances of access the prior evening.

I had a very enjoyable visit to this location. When I arrived There was the fresh smell of Snickerdoole cookies, which by the way, I had no clue what they were. The girl at the counter was super friendly and explained to me what was in them and how delicious they were. I took her recommendation and had one.....mmmmm. The hotel was clean and seemed to be getting remodeled at the time. Its good to see hotels that remodel to keep current.

Liking Hamptons in general, we've stayed at this particular hotel several times and have always found it to be clean and comfortable. The beds are like sleeping on a cloud and the pillows are particularly soft and fluffy. I often travel with my own pillow from home, but no need to if we're staying at a Hampton.
The standout at this Hampton, though, is the definitely the staff, in particular the Front Desk manager. She has always been both efficient and warmly welcoming when we arrive.
The Lobby was in the midst of a redecoration during our current stay, but the dust and debris were kept to a minimum and were not a distraction.
The location just off I-81 is convenient and there are many restaurant choices close by, from fast food to casual to fine dining, plus super markets and convenience stores--even a Krispy Kreme shop for fresh doughnuts, yum!
Would recommend this Hampton Inn for solo and business travellers, couples and families.
